    Why the first three groups in Anyder?

    So, in Akadaemia Anyder, there's 4 groups before the first boss.

    Unless you're going to pull all 4 groups (which I doubt, because 3 is difficult enough to heal through), why do so many tanks wanna pull the first 3 groups, and then fight the last group by itself?

    This makes no sense to me, wouldn't it be better (and safer) to fight 2 and 2, instead of 3, risking your life, and then 1 group at the end?

    As a healer who is still ~345, I would very much appreciate that if you see a healer with <80k health, that you would please not grab the first 3 groups, or how about not grabbing the first three at all because no matter what you're going to be doing 2 pulls anyways.

    the first 3 groups are locked by a door, you can't pass until you kill the 3º group thats why the last group is always taken alone.

    You can't fight 2 and then 2 because you have to kill the last group of the 3 to open the gate that separates out the last group before the boss and so the pulls are every group to the wall (first 3), then the last group, then the boss.

    If you were to not take all 3 in the first pull it would end up being, one pull of 2 groups, another pull of 1 group to drop the gate and then one more pull to clear the last group before the boss. That is one extra pull.

    Also since it is the first pull of the dungeon, tanks and the rest of the party have all their cooldowns available to burn, especially since the next pull is of only one group, so the tank can blow a lot of their defensives on that first 3-group pull and not worry as much about saving them for the next 1-group pull, leaving them to be back up by the boss.

    Pulling everything in that dungeon was possible in fresh gear relatively easily, any party not doing all nowadays that doesnt have a new tank or healer is questionable

    Man I had a guy literally /quit the run when I tried to do this at the start. Not a single word of protest just an immediate bounce. So I tend to be cautious nowadays on that first pull. I just 3+1 nowadays because trying to pull all four (one of the "packs" is just a patrolling shark thing, not really 4 packs) will get you killed by amateur healers.

    If I'm on my PLD though I'll do it, because I can usually heal myself fine before we all die if I have a pair of good DPS with me.

    The first 3 groups (+ 1 roaming shark) can be a very difficult pull especially if either the tank or healer don’t know what they are doing.

    If one of them doesn’t know then it’s usually a wipe.

    That being said, if either are not comfortable with wall to wall pulling the they should just pull the first two groups plus add then last group, as it takes more time to wipe than it does to do the two groups separately.

    “Well how do I know if my tank or healer isn’t comfortable?”

    Easy, you ask them.

    I always do the full pull, most can handle it. As someone else mentioned, wall to wall in that dungeon was possible during early access, and was only really hard if your healer was an AST. I had a WHM pre-savage heal the full pull with all level 79 gear, so there really isn't a good excuse at this point but to try it. If we do wipe, the healer likely wasn't ready for it (when I leveled my SCH to 80 by grinding dungeons it was rare for a tank to pull big) they likely haven't had practice using their full kit (since dungeons are pretty easy to heal 1 group at a time). The community will grow as a whole of we push each other to play better and work harder.
