    Suggestions for improved end game content

    I know there are multiple threads on people complaining about end game content right now, but I wanted to write a few of my suggestions on how I think the game could improve. I don't think the end game content in this game is horrible, but it's not where it should be IMO.

    1) Dungeon difficulty/rewards. WoW did this right IMO. Give us the option to do "heroic" mode dungeons for better rewards. The rewards could be same dungeon gear but with better gimmicks similar to WoW. (Ex: They can have regular dungeon version gear and then the "upgraded" heroic gear that can be dyeable or add different effects to the gear to differentiate it from the regular version.

    2) Create more dungeon gear that people want to grind dungeons for and stop creating recolored old gear or "filler" gear that everyone glamours over. Back in SB, the contest winner gear was so well made that people would grind the hell out of Swallow's Compass to get all the pieces of the Bonewicca set. This is what drives people to want to grind for items. Some of the other entries for the contest were so well done and unique. SE needs to step outside the box. AF gear and PVP is the only gear IMO that steps outside the "box".

    3) Breathe life back into open world content with an upgraded Hunt System. Give us some new hunt gear that can be obtained and then upgraded further into dyeable versions. New Mounts/Minions that are unique to whichever nation you belong to. SE has yet to introduce new (or dyeable versions of previous Hunt gear) since Hunts were released back in ARR.

    Another option to get more people to participate in hunts is to get rewards from hunts as an alternative to Eureka to dye AF 3 gear. I know this was a way one could dye old AF2 gear. I would grind out hunts everyday if it meant I could dye all my AF3 gear that I dread to attempt in Eureka. There should be more than one way in an MMO to achieve a goal.

    4) Create more diverse dungeons where there are different "mechanics" along the way or paths. As much as I hate TotoRak in low level roulette, At least it has de-buffs like leaden, webs that lock you in rooms, different paths to the same boss, orbs you have to collect to summon the bosses and ranged spider sacs you have to kill. New dungeons look very nice but they are very linear and as people grind them to gear up, they become boring/ too easy. All the new dungeons are basically the tank rounding up adds to aoe them down (now that tp is removed) and downing the boss.

    5) A new system that is not fate related to get people into open world content. "World Quests" (I hate to compare it to WoW again, but at least it gets people out into the world. Other than gatherers and people doing beast tribe quests, the overall world in this game is too dead. It's such a shame because the open world in this game has so much more potential.

    6) New system to allow you to level your other classes after you completed side quests and MSQ again. It would add more life back to the main world. I think I read in SHB they are bringing in this feature, but I haven't seen anything yet about it.

    7) Longer raid series. I feel like the raids now are just trials with a boss we burn down. The older raids had trash mobs and smaller mini bosses before the main boss.

    8) SE knows people pay money for customization options and that true end game is glamour. Adding new customization options as rewards such as dyes, skin colors, eye colors, hairstyles, tattoos, etc. to "regular" duties like hunts, raids, dungeons, open world content will ultimately get people to want to engage more in end game content.

    9) Improve the PVP system overall. (I believe an update is coming). Maybe create an open world PVP area like the old days in WoW.

    1) devs have stated they're not interested in making Mythic+ type dungeons. there is already too much gear in the game, adding more than what is minimally needed is too much extra work.

    2) taste is subjective. designers have an aesthetic they want to implement too.

    3) this is a theme park type MMO. everything is done in instances. i don't know how you've missed this point for the last 6 years.

    4) you think you want this but you don't. people will ALWAYS go for the path of least resistance, they want their dungeons to be fast and efficient as possible. pull wall to wall boom done. you will not get most people to be like "let's explore this way", you'll be kicked from the group for wanting to deviate. people HATE totorak for all the pointless debuffs that are placed in there.

    5) the fate rep system was introduced in 5.0 for this, but once you're done, then eh back to same old. and again this is a theme park mmo, you do everything in instances.

    6) new game + mode is just for replaying story. they haven't said whether it will grant exp or not, but i doubt it. besides running roulettes every day gives more than enough exp to level other classes at a relatively fast pace.

    7) people complain about trash they took it out. i don't see them putting it back in. Door bosses people don't like them either.

    8) this is a system limitation - there's only so many customization options that can be added to characters.

    9) they're adding a new frontlines mode I think in 5.1 (seal rock 2 basically from what i've heard). they will never add open world PVP. that's what the wolve's den is for.
    if you want old WOW go play classic.

    I will quit this game real fast and never look back if this because a thing.
    I'm not going to sit here and get bullied for days trying to leave a safe zone so I can get ganked, time and time again.
    And knowing SE, they'll add a "Safe PvP" item in Mog Station for $20 lol.
    It'll cause nothing but grief and irritation. One of the reasons I don't play Aion/BDO. I'ma filthy casual dangit lol.

    Actually, this thread in the General Discussion section alone would be the fourth "endgame" topic being discussed in the last month alone so it's not really trending. Unfortunately, people see 3 of these and suddenly, everyone bandwagons the topic, making it a flavor of the month.

    Also, as a general statement to OP's ideas, if you want current improvement to endgame content, the first thing that would have to change is how the endgame content is being delivered. The fact that SE is adheres strictly to a schedule when delivering it means people typically know when to sub for things they like and when to unsub for things they don't. For example, I do know some people ingame who are in it very actively for the first month of a new expac but will not reappear until end of Sept to mid October for the alliance raid.
