    Dancer idea.

    I feel like Dancer would feel far more unique if it played somewhat like the hunting horn from monster hunter.

    Instead of pressing what random dance move flashes
    You combine different dance moves to get different buffs.

    Green = health/regen
    Red = damage / skill speed
    yellow = damage resistance / parry / reflect
    Blue = MP regen

    I doubt they'd do this, but I don't disagree... However, I enjoy dancer as it is. I can't speak for anyone else and I haven't played it too much so I won't speak on that too much since I am no expert.

    I guess spamming the same dance would be a problem. Unless they make it a combo based system. Or give a limit to how many times it can be used

    Only change I want for Dancer is an adjustment to Closed Position and Standard Step.

    I was so disappointed when I found out that swapping Dance Partner removed the bonus from Standard Finish... You've got a 30s cooldown on Standard Step and Closed Position, with the 5% damage buff lasting 60s... Just looking at that I thought it would be really fun to work on keeping Standard Finish up on two party members... I'd have so much more fun with the job if they just added that little bit of extra complexity to it... Let me work to get the full effect of that Standard Finish buff, right now I just find it really boring how it's effectively a case of apply Closed Position at the start and forget about it... It's not an active part of your rotation at all, and I'm fairly sure Protect was gutted for those reasons...

    The only thing DNC needs is adjustments to potency. But the way they’ve designed the job is perfectly fine. I don’t see the need to change the dance system.

    Playability-wise: Dancer is in a really good spot and is very fun to play. The problem with having different confictive buffs is that people will invariably choose whichever helps DPS better, so a dmg reduction/hp/mp regen buff would be used for progression then promptly forgotten for a dmg up buff.

    That said, yeah, some potency buffs would be very appreciated...

    I like new idea's like yours so I 1+ the idea.
    My problem though, remove any DPS buff related thing.
    Some will be Dancing for DPS in that case.
    It'll be just how AST was and people will swear that all of
    us was fishing for Balance...But I don't wanna delve into that convo again here.

    I do wish there was more variety in your dances. I think the job itself is okay I guess...but at the same time
    it gets boring rather quick, because you're a perm DPS buffer with the occasionally Everybody gets a buff! dance.
    The same reason why I don't touch AST anymore. I miss variety and different things to do in my runs.
    I miss 4.0 BRD so bad as well. I'd keep Dancer as is if they just give me back my 4.0 Bard lol!
