I agree with Rokien... level sync will cause more problems than it fixes. Once SE does something about PLing people will be more inclined to find level appropriate parties.

Why would they do something about PLing when they added and wanted PLing? Yoshi said from his own mouth, he wants PLing? Keep dreaming!
GuildWars 2, no one cares about GuildWars 1, learn your buzz!

You assume they ever plan to do something about Pling.
Just like you petition for non instanced dungeon, or content finder .. or the multitude of other "good" additions they plan to add in 2.0.
I'm sure if Yoshi-p does read these forums he must roll his eyes every time he sees one of your posts, I know I sure do.

Rok I am starting to think you are against any feature that would make this game actually fun to play. I am gonna ask a serious question.
Are you for real, or just a troll pulling ppls chains on this stuff. I mean no one is THAT hardcore man?
Again this is an actual question, because I am kinda lols right now that any feature suggested that might actually make this game more user friendly you start a petition against; and any feature that is in the game from it's conception that makes things more user friendly you petition to remove.
Also Guildwars 1 was an excellent game in it's own right. Guildwars 2 will be also, they got just about everything right, ppl didnt like instancing...yeah yeah blah blah, that feature could have easily been dropped (though I felt it a good feature most of the time) but the ideas they implemented made a FUN , engagingly, excellent game.
the "levels" had nothing to do with progression. The "levels" were basically a tutorial curve. The game didn't not even begin until you passed level 20 (which should have been a couple days if about a week) THEN you set about collecting your skills and gear and acheivements. Which was a VERY challenging task. Filled with going to excellent dungeon and map layout, very fun missions and all sorts of good good content.
If SE wanted to use a template for alot of "how to make a good multiplier experience" , they should have opened Guildwar's notes and copied them.
Sure it had some lame parts too, but there was A LOT of good successful ideas.

I only have like 3 petitions in total so idk what you are talking about. Of course I'm serious, if I wasn't I wouldn't post at all. If you don't try nothing will get changed, so I try, whether people like the ideas or not, that's cool. I don't care.Rok I am starting to think you are against any feature that would make this game actually fun to play. I am gonna ask a serious question.

I'm never against User friendly stuff. This thing is not a user friendly thing, this aspect changes the WHOLE game on how people will play in the future. Not some little thing like a UI change.
But please show me where I petitioned against user friendly things?
Dude...MMORPGS have existed without Level Sync, and with PLing, for DECADES! That is not hardcore at all, its normal. Level Sync is newschool thing, but hardly the norm.

Sure I guess if you call a features that has been around for more than a decade a "new" thing. I would point out that most mmorpgs in the past 10 years or more have some form of Powerleveling and a good chunk have level syncing. (or instanced difficulty that auto adjust to the strength of the current party)
Okay Rok I appreciate you answer and clarity.
I suppose I could go to every thread that someone has about making the game actually casually playable friendly and quote you on how you are against every feature that makes things more convenient, but I am to lazy to do so, and you now what I am referring to: anima debates and all.
But on the topic of level sync....I can only repeat how it's a convenient feature for those of us who don't mind repeating areas, or actually enjoy returning to them and level there for nostagia, or like to help our lower level friends, or want to play with our higher level friends.
If I grasp your argument correctly (and please correct me if I am wrong) but it is your fear that player would opt to not go to the higher content in lue of just level syncing to old content because it's easier? (like we somewhat experienced in ffxi) Thus "forcing" those who wanted to "not follow the crowd" to "follow the crowd" .
Well my retort is once again, as it is in reponse to most of your ideas and thread comments (and many others response to your comments also) : No one is forcing you to use these features. If you want to level in other areas form a party of like minded ppl and do so. If you can't find like minded ppl that is because they PREFER to do it the other way.
Honestly I enjoyed leveling in some of the lower camps when level syncing I found we got to go to MORE places than we did without it, as we could use our level 50's to easily get to good level 20 camps that we never got to see..... because all anyone ever wanted to level on before the level sync addition was CRABS. 75 levels of crabs...that's exciting.
I am rambling, as usual, but the point is.....giving ppl choices is never a bad thing...if you don;t like one way, the other way is still availible to you. Don't lobby to remove choices and force ppl to play the way YOU would prefer to. Giving ppl the options to play the game several ways is a good compromise to get many types of players to enjoy the game in their own way.
