    Anymore Jumping Puzzles?

    Good afternoon,

Last night, I ran into the jumping puzzle in Kugane and I went at it! Eventually, other people started joining in to scale to the top! It was a ton of fun and I enjoyed it!! Reminded me of older games I used to play where you had to figure out at which point to jump to and time it. Ahhh, the joys of custom maps and jumping puzzles from then. x3

The best part for me, was reaching the top, shouting happily in my chair that I made it! I even typed in /shout chat saying "WITNESS ME!! I REACHED THE TOP!" and others typed it back or saying "WITNESSED!!"

Are there any more jump puzzles like Kugane?

Here's a couple screenshots (gpose credits go to my sister, whose way better at taking shots than me!):

My sister was trying too after seeing me go at it. She gave up after 45 minutes or so. Then got a picture of me when I reached the very top! I'm the little bitty spec there.

There's an event at the Golden Saucer that is a jumping puzzle.

Are there more like Kugane? I certainly hope not. This game isn't exactly built for platforming. It is a bit clunky in my opinion. Leap of Faith isn't the greatest either but I'll take that over Kugane Tower any day of the week. I climbed that tower once, and it took me 2 hours. I won't be doing it again.

There are a few - non as long and elaborate as Kugane, but some can be a bit tricky. Looking into the sight seeing logs will lead you to quite a few of them, so I'd do that if I were you!

I like them but I really wish they had a check point system lol. I love the frustrating perfection jumps if I can also check point a bit afterwards, but here its like get rekt by the invisible wall- have some hot sauce and salt for that wound . . . and that's that XD.

So hopefully they're made a bit more reasonably (less floating off object's ends lol) or they add checkpoints. Not saying easy but some of the floating off the edge jumps or invisible collision that punts you off an object is a bit rough without at least some sort of "you fell, use this to get back to a checkpoint". Could mess with the jump physics too I suppose but eh I'm okay with that, maybe a glider is added to the game and that way players can do some jumping puzzles with slide-y in air movement. Or maybe for objects on jumping puzzles make their collision a bit ramped on edges so jumps are more friendly than "oh half a millimeter too low, you fall to the very bottom now". Custom collision on all jumping related puzzles sounds harder than just making the jumps more flowing, though I kind of like that you can't change directions in a jump.. feels logical to me lol.

I like and I wish there were more.. but I also wish they had some sort of system that backs them up lol. Also if who ever creates them hasn't had the chance yet they should play some of GW2's, might get some inspiration or expand the system.

Definitely do what Vidu said if you want more puzzles, since there are a few jumps in that lol. Also in Rhalgr's Reach there is a very short but obvious one.

There's a Sightseeing Log for every expac, though Kugane Tower is the most involved part to complete.

Getting to many of the harder ARR Sightseeing log locations require completing a few non-designed jumping puzzles (all of the ARR sightseeing locations were player suggested). Rhalger's Reach and Kugane have a few other Sightseeing locations that require much simpler jumping puzzles, the summer event these past two years has involved a jumping puzzle and two of the GATEs in the Golden Saucer are jumping puzzles.

Moonfire festival just had a complicated and long one but it just ended.
And like others have said: sightseeing logs are good if you like exploring and jumping, and the Leap of Faith GATE at the Gold Saucer.

I think there's also a quest to rescue a kitten at Falcon's Nest but I don't think it counts as a jumping puzzle once you get flying because making any of the jumps that would require a mount will just engage flight instead, though you might be able to adjust that with hotkey/settings.

I'm pretty sure that quest unlocks when you've picked up all the aether currents specifically to show off that you can fly now.
