Ugh no. I think we’re at the point of peak saturation with far-east stuff and any more would be too much. Doma/Hingashi already took up 2/3 of an expansion with story content that could’ve been spent building up the city that we’ve known about for 6+ years. The aesthetic already has a city, housing zone, and 2 classes already. I’d rather something more unique than “Kugane, but not”.

I think a good unique zone they could do for 6.0 is an entire ruined city is the zone, like Chamba from Breath of Fire IV. Miasma/mist fills the city except for a few pockets and it’s filled with monsters and you need to travel rooftop-to-rooftop or in the sewers. The hrothgar city destroyed by meteor would be perfect for this.

I hope we never get a zone full if undead mobs... that’s basically the end zone for half of al WoW expacs, guild wars 2, and countless other games...

    It’s like way over done...

I would like to see them go to some other continents. Ideally where the Hyur actually look ethnicity different for once... I would like to see a version of the “New World” that doesn’t look like Taylor Swift dressed up as the Village People...

Despite my slam of Guild Wars 2 in reference to undead zones, their current expansion os exactly what I mean for the continent thing... except that halfway through it becomes all undead... again...

Saw this clip of Mt. Rainier (WA, USA) while listening to some relaxing background music and thought "that'd be a cool area":

Also taking from some Glacier National Park (USA) / Banff National Park (CA) and the in-between park areas would be pretty cool.

Perhaps for some new Coerthas inspired areas, making a strong come back lol. Yellowstone might fit into that too. This also goes into some of the request of wanting a viking area though those "stereotypically" described areas would be more grassy.. But it could be a big honking zone lol (maybe?).

Some Witcher 3 environments have that feel. Extra points if mist / fog comes off the water at certain points in the day. Another mountain and lake nature video for fun: here.

An area in Stormblood might even be inspired by the mammoth hot springs in yellowstone, or there is one fairly similar somewhere else in the world (which is also very possible lol). That multi-color rainbow hotsprings.

The environment artists can use it as an excuse to go to NA for some nice tourism .

A mix between old gridania's maze like map and khazam with its various underground tunnels. It'd probably be an incredibly annoying map but nostalgia

Ugh no. Surely more Far Eastern zones would be better then a low draw-distance miasma rubble zone. I've already my fill of ruins and sewers.

I'd kind of like to see more zones in the area the Azim Steppe sits at the center of.

The mountains to the north, the desert to southwest, and the coastlands to the northeast (I have a hunch this is where the new Frontline is located as it's noted as being a war zone for the largest tribes who contest it on an annual basis) are all Xaela territory, but could provide a decidedly different experience from the steppe.

Thavnair. It's a place that's long been teased through glamour, relic weapons(both 2.0 and 3.0) and job quests. I get a Middle Eastern vibe from it and picture it similar in design to Aht Urghan from FFXI. We know it's a major power in the world and unlike Hingashi(which I would love to explore more of than just Kugane), it's a place open for trade and people.

However, I can't see how it would be incorporated into an expansion as the area is pretty small and we would risk it having to share an expansion with another location, ending up the the Ala Mhigo/Doma problem of what will be given priority in the story.

I would love if they decided to give us optional story mini-expansions with no leveling tied into it, but a couple of zones, a dungeon and a final trial. Could be used to flesh out some of the smaller areas in the world that couldn't support a full expansion on their own.

Another area I would love to see is something similar to Sanctuary of Zitah from FFXI, a calm zone with a calming BGM.

I do have quite a few areas of Hydealyn I'd love to see.

First and foremost I'll mirror everyone before me with Thavnair and Garlemald, which personally I'm almost certain we'll be visiting in 6.0. We know that Thavnair and Radz-at-Han is a trade center and is in a trade treaty with Garlemald, so I frankly believe Radz-at-Han will potentially be the Rhalgr's Reach/Eulmore of 6.0. The potential of a whole lot of middle eastern/indian architecture sounds like something that would be quite the sight to behold. Garlemald I don't particularly die to see the city itself (as I personally find Garlean architecture and buildings really bland), but I'd love to see the areas surrounding Garlemald, including the Hrothgar cities and potentially even Golmorre Jungle.

Now to some more "obscure" ones. I'd definitely want to see the New World and The Northern Empty.
The New World has such potential for unique landscapes, like something you'd see in northern America. Tall rocky mountains with abundant trees and flowing rivers or vast lakes between them, I don't think we have something close to that in the game as of now.

As for the Northern Empty, it's where Sharlayan currently is, and I'd absolutely love to see the Sharlayan center in its prime, as the architecture we've seen so far is absolutely beautiful and I'd just love to see it up close. Plus, we'd have the potential to see Aerslaent (the Roegadyn ancestral location), the Isle of Yorn and the Isle of Haam, which are all in the same area with Sharlayan, all islands in the Northern Empty. I think they'd definitely be quite interesting to see.

Finally, I'd also love to see Meracydia. It's where most of the dragons come from, and it's also where Sophia, Sephirot and Zurvan were originally summoned. We know that there's a race of plant/tree people there that were the ones responsible for Sephirot's summoning (which to me sounds suspiciously close to what the Guado in FFX looked like), so I'd expect really high fantasy looking environments. I'd love to see something akin to the Macalania Forest from FFX, basically a forest of petrified trees and crystal, it was my favorite zone from that game.

Generally, I'd just love to see more high fantasy zones akin to Il Mheg, Sea of Clouds and the Dravanian Hinterlands. Perhaps an underground city/map would be quite cool too, maybe close to how the Tomb of Raithwall is from FFXII. Maybe a few more swampy/spooky maps would be nice too.

I'd like Garlemald, the City, to just be one huge zone. Streets and stuff. It'd be cool to just like, drive around or fly around the city and stuff. Since every City we've been given has had no mounts available, it'd be sad. Flying around the city is one of my favorite things to do in games like Just Cause, GTA, and other open world games. it's fun, and I'd really like that as a visitable location. Otherwise...

I'd like to see the New World, Merycidia, and it'd be cool yes, to go to the moon.
