Love Eureka. The closest thing to FFXI this game has.

Which is a shame because of all the elements from XI they could have used. a lokurm duens exp grind blended with fates was quite literally the worst thing they could have gone with..
I know people asked for cool elements from XI to be incorporated but i don't think anyone meant lokurm dunes.
it could have been around sky, sea, limbus, dynamis, einherjar nyzul isle, assaults, znm salvage... the list goes on..
absolutely anything but exp parties combined with fates...
I agree. But grind parties are something everyone who played FFXI experienced. It's one of the things everyone can identify with. I hope they do expand on it though. I wouldn't mind some Maat battles as well. Maybe some puke-inducing AV fights lol.Which is a shame because of all the elements from XI they could have used. a lokurm duens exp grind blended with fates was quite literally the worst thing they could have gone with..

They need to find a way to encourage players to actually chain monsters above your level in a party. Instead of murdering weak monsters for challenge log and then hopping on the hurry up and wait train.
Elvl sync for parties would be nice.
People really need to stop ceasing Gordias whenever someone says the game is too easy. It's a cop out response because there does exist a middle ground between overtuned and braindead. Most content follows into the latter category. While difficulty doesn't necessarily make content better, the lack of it has certainly contributed to content being easily rushed through.

I don't think it should be forgotten tho.. it's something that happened and effected the entire game and tons of players. It's also a vaild worried to never forget. Cause people fear that can come back, you can't fault people from bringing it up.People really need to stop ceasing Gordias whenever someone says the game is too easy. Except people instantly bring up Gordias at the even slightest mention of increasing the overall difficulty of content. It gets tiresome, especially when content has become increasingly more brain dead.

I can see that it can get abit old, but that doesn't change the fact that it really did mess up alot of stuff. People have a hard time letting things go... look at EA games ( Tho yes I know EA keeps messing up and EA doesn't give people a chance to forget them but still. ). My other point is difficulty isn't static and everyone has a massive idea on what is hard for them and what is easy. But that's my small 3 cents.
Yeah, Gordias was a mistake by SE's admission. The tuning was higher than they intended because they cut corners in playtesting.People really need to stop ceasing Gordias whenever someone says the game is too easy. Also, I think difficulty IS important. Actually being tested on competency improves player skill. Things don't need to be EX+ hard as a baseline, but we shouldn't be teaching players mechanics are ignorable or failing to test DPS players on the basics of their roles throughout leveling content.
Too much content in this game can be cleared with players putting in near zero effort and getting no feedback for doing so, and this feeds bad habits and bad actors.
