"An unexpected error has occurred. Exciting FINAL FANTASY XIV"

I've been experiencing this issue since the 17th of July and honestly i'm kinda at the end of my tether with it. After numerous emails back and forth to square enix support, it's going around and around in circles. I'm answering the same questions, waiting a week+ between replies and getting nowhere. I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I am getting the following error when attempting to enter random zones in the game i.e. The Goblet (other housing areas are fine) and random dungeons or even Thanalan.

When exactly did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

When you contacted support, what did they suggest? Do you have any other character on your account? Do they exhibit the same behavior?

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
