Gardening without a house

What happened to this farming/Gardening DoL idea i read about last year? Are we ever going to see an option to garden without the burden of buying a house??

They should add some kind of Greenhouse NEAR Apartment or INSIDE apartment.
Give everyone a chance to buy their own instances Gardening plot.

Ohhh yeah, gardening, what a super duper important part of the game, they better focus all dev time to that and push it out immediately! It's certainly not a unimportant side feature that is perfectly fine being a background project that takes a bit longer to finish up. Not like any of you will even stick to it once you realize that it takes 7 real life days to grow freaking anything.

You do realize there are crafting materials that can only be obtained through gardening, right? Either fix gardening or give an alternative source of mats. Heck, there's absolutely no reason to bar apartment users from using outdoor garden furnishings - it could easily be faked with a fake balcony or something.

Not always. I've run into the situation before where I've wanted to craft something, and it turns out to require a super expensive mat that doesn't exist outside of gardening.

So... what? Minions that you can get from retainer ventures? Those hideous Cloche hats that aren't even expensive? The flower headpieces that you can garden in your apartment? There is like 5 items total that fits your description, and none of them are super expensive.

So I'm confused...what are we even arguing about? Surely a company as massive as Square Enix has enough money and resources to fix every aspect of the game, and not just the features deemed "important" by forum users.
