Assigning hot key to bring up skill bar

I've found where to assign most of the hot key commands in game, but I haven't seen a hot key command to bring a specific skill bar to the main position. I would like to be able to switch between a single target skill bar and an aoe skill bar with just a button press while still keeping the key presses unmodified by ctrl/alt/shift etc. I know I can use the up/down arrow next to the skill bar to switch bars, but can that up/down arrow be assigned to hot keys instead of having to be a mouse click?

I'm fairly certain that "up/down arrow" you're talking about is assigned to shift up/down (or is it ctrl or alt? it's one of those, anyway). I've definitely triggered it on accident, so it's definitely something. You might be able to hotkey that to something else...?

The only other thing I can think of is that you could technically put a macro on a hotbar (that can be hidden), assign a hotkey to that hotbar slot, and just use the macro to swap the contents of your hotbars.

Your first hotbar has those up/down arrows.
By default, switching between them is shift+2 or shift+3 etc for whatever number bar you want.
You can change this in the /keybinds menu.

Every class and job has 10 bars, and these bars are kept track of independently for each job even if you're using shared bars. You can use this to your advantage by hiding bars in the class/job bar space of bar numbers that you are sharing. Then use a macro to swap them out to switch between AoE and single target. For example, if you are sharing bars 8,9,10, you can hide your AoE target bars on WHM 8 and WHM 9, then use a macro to swap them in:

/hotbar copy whm 1 whm 10
/hotbar copy whm 8 whm 1
/hotbar copy whm 10 whm 8
/hotbar copy whm 2 whm 10
/hotbar copy whm 9 whm 2
/hotbar copy whm 10 whm 9

This swaps bar 1 with bar 8, and bar 2 with bar 9. Bar 10 is used as a buffer so you can perform the swaps without losing the original bars.
If you put this button in the same spot on a single target bar and an AoE bar, you can press it to toggle between them.
