Samurai is actually fine. MNK and BLM are overtuned atm with MNK doing more than SAM in aDPS in *some* instances and BLM decimating casters.

SAM is clearly beating the other melees, DRG and NIN very easily in aDPS which is the entire the point. But people seem to be confusing with the idea that SAM should be beating the other melees on RDPS when that should be far from the case.

Tabbed over to RDPS SAM is merely 200 RDPS under DRG but just 40 above NIN which is perfectly fine. Buff/Classes with damage utility should always > Selfish DPS in terms of RDPS due to requirement of co-ordination from 7 other members. Selfish DPS have the advantage of being much better on average in every other percentile under 90+ by always bringing a *full Trick Attack* level of contribution provided the player is skilled enough, where as buff classes like Nin/Drg require 7 other skilled people to truly push their rDPS above selfish.
In an ideal world it would be:
aDPS: SAM > MNK > DRG > NIN
rDPS: NIN > DRG > MNK > SAM
MNK needs nerfs and is the current melee outlier. BLM either needs nerfs or Casters need Raise removed, 10% rDPS is too heavy a cost for combat raise and has seen RDM and in rare cases SMN completely benched from savage parties. Range merely need a buff where a composition doesn't out damages them with their Role bonus but weaker than melee slightly due to 100% range uptime and Tactician.
Tank balance in it's own environment is in a pretty great state but unfortunately tanks contribution in respect to other roles is at an all time low. Tanks are currently doing 56-65% of a DPS rDPS, putting an individual tank players contribution near half of a DPS player. With a simplistic rotation, an overbloated defensive kit and no actual tank mechanics this tier, tanks are now the least impactful role where you put your weakest players and the lowest priority for loot thanks to gaining a little more than half value from stats in comparison to DPS or healers. If you ever feel useless in pugs and feel like nothing you do matters, that's because right now, it frankly pretty much doesn't.
