The future of FF14 (how id love the story to somewhat go)

First off I'm sure there are alot of thread like this, however this is what I'm hoping happens to FF14 in the decades to come.

    1. No more war with the Empire, maybe a civil war x-pac, but I'd love to see Gauis offer come true. Cid becomes his right hand man and Gauis becomes Emperor. Then peace happens after the civil war. Why? Well think about it. With the resources of the empire, the tenecity of Gauis, TWO Tias and Crystal Towers? Oh lord. The stuff they could come up with. Which leads to #2

    2. The Tia's link so 9th joined Tia travels to, first the Void, then to the other worlds, and eventually to the beginning of it all. Source Tia is the anchor, this way no more soul ripping and the scion can freely travel to different worlds. Now this would mean world syncing but as noone actually lives in the Crystal Tower and Tia said that noone could cause one day it might disappear.

I would LOVE to see a grand cinematic at 6.0 or 5.end where Tia (in his chamber) does a hologram speech thanking all of the people of the first for their hard work, trust and faith, but that now he and the Warrior of Darkness needs to go to another world to help. To go to the Void to restore life there. His hologram turns to that lead guard (sorry cant remember name doing this post before I forget the story I envisioned). And says, "But Im sure your new Exarch will be up to the task." She looks shocked, of course, tries to say no. Tia smiles and just says something epic. They the Warrior of Darkness walk into the hologram beside him, they nod, Tia says a final goodbye and as he slams his staff down a tear rolls down his cheek. The tower disappears and as the tear hits where the ground would be a final gift appears a sandy beach, with crystal clear waters, and the 'ground' in the lake is all crystal.

    3. We do the Void and the other worlds (this alone is 10 years, maybe 20 if they roll in an 'update' x-pac every other world or ever 2 worlds)

    4. When we are a full being and undoubtedly the strong being ever (Like an Eld but with all that combat exp, wow!). We go back n time and stop the summons, or save the world, or flat out be part 3 of the hydaelyn/zodiark fight and win.

    5. Spend the next 4-8 years exploring that new 'old' world.

All of this, just in the base form is a min of 20 years of content, more like 30. Either way Kazutoyo Maehiro (hope I got this right) has set up one hell of a possible brilliant colossal amount of materia and story to go through.

LONG LIVE FF14 the BEST game/story/etc I have ever seen or played in my 42 years on this planet.

    You might wanna put
    Tia
name in spoiler tags or replace it with
    Exarch
when referencing Shb events. Yes, the game's been out since july but please be considerate to those who are still trying to catch up the story

In case the original gets edited to not include names, I'm going to throw this in spoilers:

Tia is a Seeker of the Sun naming convention. Males are all either "Firstname Nuhn" or "Firstname Tia." Nuhns being the alpha guy and Tia being everyone else. So calling a character Tia only narrows it down to almost any male Seeker of the Sun

I truly believe that 5.1-6.0 will wrap up the ShB storyline in The First, and that 6.0 will take place in Garlemald and wrap up the Empire storyline. It would be nice to see that conflict resolved and free us up for a new direction in 7.0 and beyond.

This is what the bad guy in that Jet Li movie "The One" wanted. I hope we don't go down this route. Destroying other souls to get slightly more powerful is something an antagonist would want to achieve.

Honestly spoiler city now, so ye who've not played shadowbringers been warned once lol- turn back or get spoilers xD.

By the way if you edit your post you can go over the character limit (so you don't need to make multiple posts in the future ). Best to copy what you want said and put it somewhere if you spent a bit of time on it, so like write it out, copy a fraction of it so you can post under the forum word limit, edit post, paste full contents into post, save, profit.

I would like to see Garlean city in it's glory, maybe we heavily damage it and have to help rebuild it like Ishgard, might act as a great midgard like experience (good timing if it comes out with one of the FF7 remake episodes). I definitely feel we could have an interesting restless peace with them, lots of fun potentially with people unable to move on (on both sides) and for good reasons (lots of killing).. the difficulty of moving forward vs not and being stuck unable to let go. Also interesting how the player could be treated by some, we had a bit of it already in some quests but imagine the terror we might bring to those who live in the city. All that potential propaganda (and truths). Could really reference a lot of real history with some of the WWII US / Japan experience.

On the void, and voidsent, I thought it might be fun to have a void primal as one of our new issues to deal with. WoL attempting to fight off an entire shard worth of energy made body by voidsent. Might be fun to get some warhammer 40k void references in lol, make some interesting outposts, maybe help create/work with an "Eden" for that shard. Potential to make it a bit scary too by slowly introducing night terrors into random npc's dialog, make some nights last abnormally long or not look quite right, shadows in weird places that vanish, just sort of infect the game (for players on the quest chain), Edna x100 :3. Truly nightmarish primal.

    Some personal random desires-

I'd like to explore more of the ARR areas, perhaps with a new era of airships or something (we get to unlock new zones and I really want airship content lol). That great desert sea off of southern thanalan.. What's more to those lost civilizations we already have. Perhaps helping re/build a place for the Tonberry (I get scholar quest line issues may exist, but I don't think they're unsolvable- we've got some culinarian timeline issues too).

I want to see something chaotic happen in Ul'dah with the whole quest line we've had so far, I quite liked that one. In a huge tl;dr (have a lot of thoughts on it), I felt it could be quite fun to have some drama play out with old history of Sil'dih, Nanamo, Lorito, the growing, never dying, zombie horde pent up and ready to burst from the ruins - just a whole powder keg of political and city crisis events. In the end leading to a great under ground magical water theme'd city (above ground could be in ruins or whatever). On the idea of a voidsent primal I thought perhaps it could be part of the Ascian plan to help forment this chaos, to get the zombies going and eating again after so long being enriched in dark aether and mindless hunger (dark aether that perhaps the ascian helped leak into the area), that he cultivates an environment, a breeding ground, to find the perfect vessel able to direct the void shard into one huge shard primal form (like creating a Brethren Moon in the Dead Space world).

Creation magic extended slowly to ourselves, to the extreme point that we might find ourselves making our own little spaces like Emet did (personal housing zones, which doesn't necessitate the destruction of the old housing system lol). I think it'd be quite fun if perhaps a fragment of his memory, or fragments of his creation magic (not him, just left over fragments echoing out), helped guide us to mastering/practicing this. Guided by an Ascian to properly take the mantel and charge of the star's destiny.

About the Void, we've aleady travelled there in the past, there is nothing there but monsters and a few weird crystalline platforms - it's the World of Darkness. So I don't see it factoring in that much honestly.

    Really I see
Garlemald tearing itself apart due to Varis's assassination (which after all, was exactly how Emet designed it and fated it to be, although I doubt Zenos would want to take the throne as all he's interested in is his 'Hunt' (namely, chasing down and fighting the player's character endlessly). And although Zenos did everyone on Hydaelyn a favour by killing his father and driving out Elidibus from his own body, thus preventing the unleashing of Black Rose on Hydaelyn and preventing the 8th Calamity, there is still the unknown factor as to exactly what Gaius and Estinien are going to do. I presume they'd destroy Varis's factory that was producing it and the new stockpiles he acculumated but it's unclear.

Really, it's clear Elidibus is being set up to be the major antagonist, although it remains to be seen how effective his plans will be (especially his threat to 'unleash other worlds' 'Warriors of Light' against us. I mean, there are only like three remaining Shards other than the First still in existence, and to travel between them and the Source requires the person to be dead or at least incorporeal, so unless he finds away around that, it means he's probably just repeating his previous plans, and all the weaknesses of them. After all, those who do not learn from their past mistakes are doomed to repeat them.

We can't say that for sure.

As I saw someone suggest in another discussion a while back - Varis's death could be the catalyst for the previously-superior Garlean army to fall into some degree of disarray due to whatever politics ensue. That allows the Alliance to gain the upper hand, and that is exactly what drove the Garleans to unleash Black Rose in the first place. It doesn't have to have happened under Varis's direct command, especially if whoever is in charge of pulling the trigger feels cornered.

We've (hopefully) averted the Calamity by solving the Light-saturated state of the First, but Black Rose itself isn't off the table yet, even if its potential effects have been diminished.
