Forums are too negative most of the time IMO.

That said, are there any tank classes/class designs that you are really happy with?

I have levelled all the tanks to 80 and here is my opinion:


For me, PLD feels really REALLY good this expansion. The combination of good damage, an interesting (though simplistic) rotation, and great support skills is really fun to me.

GNB is also a pretty great feeling class to me. Their defensive kit may be pretty vanilla compared to some of the other tanks, but their DPS rotation is really fun and they can easily get the job done. When your biggest problem is that your class doesn't sound great, you are in a pretty good spot lol.

I'm happy with Gunbreaker because I can just queue for the normal raids and just do Eden as an OT, playing almost no differently then as a DPS while still getting the extra "adventurer in need" reward.

I was really unimpressed with the inner chaos animation in the promo video. It was just IB etc. But maybe it was the camera angle or something because the live version, i really like now. The particles are really great and add that real POW oomph fell cleave was always missing. Its really satisfying for me when i use IC and feels like it delivers the impact it needed. 180 from my initial impression.

This about sums it up. Being a GNB for roulettes almost feels like cheating because you're just a DPS with aggro.

I'm glad how they listen to PLD feedback and granthen an aoe magic spell for requiemcast apart of the charge, really happy PLDs are enjoying this expansion.

For WAR right now is my dungeon boy for nascent flash, this skill give me so much good memories I'm glad this mechanic still exist on WAR so I can still live the old days saddly without my great sword , for the rest I leave the complains for WAR mains.

And GNB it's a really nice addition to the tanks plus finally tank stances being fixed but meaby too easy to manage agro now but o well.

The story kinda disappoint me for not using darkness but I love the ascian part.
