name show up in your auto translator, just press the first couple letters
It is hard to send a /tell when the person's name is too long. And it doesn't seem like I can click on that person's name with a mouse to auto fill in the the /tell.
Actually you can auto-fill with the Auto Translator. Works most of the time. You can also just press CTRL+R if that person sent you a tell first.
Don't you dare consider taking away our surnames, I really like them. If people are silly enough to have horrible names to type out, that is their fault. If you like them, just befriend them and tab the name - problem solved. For daily convo, shorten the name when you talk to them.
My goal is to get my Blue Mage Thread seen by Yoshida!

Remember! #bluemagexiv!
I know about the auto reply for tells and use it all the time, Its more when I am trying to /pcmd add someone named Shadow to my party where it fails.
two names is fine if there is something in place to spell out the rest of it. That works better than the current way.
So true, but im sure they'd just make a mess of the nickname system and we'd all get frustrated. I say K.I.S.S. in this one area of the game. Keep the two names and let us all bask in everyone's uniqueness. Or make it one name. idc either way.
In fact the whole issue would be moot if we had /sea all which we could type a partial name into, get a list of results, and then see where a person was, their lvl and job, as well as sub commands to /tell or /invite etc.
Actually that would be the better option, /sea all Shadow and I could send a tell or invite from there would be nice, why doesn't it work this way already? Or does it and I am dumb -_-So true, but im sure they'd just make a mess of the nickname system and we'd all get frustrated. I say K.I.S.S. in this one area of the game.
