    Summoner Rework Idea no.2

    hi guys,this is a new rework idea for a summoner i thought about that will be based on the changes of 5.0.again this is just for fun and let me know what you think about it ^^

    ACN will remain the same without any changes to his kit and the egi system right now will remain the same.

    SMN skills:

    lvl 35-summon III- remain the same.
    energy siphon- will have the same effect as aetherflow of the scholar.share its cd with energy drain.

    lvl 40-outburst remain the same and learned.
    summon II remain the same
    egi assault II remain the same.

    lvl 45-summon I - remain the same and change carbuncle to garuda.

    lvl 48-Advance summoning(trait)-allows 2 egi to be on the field.

    lvl 48-Link-switch control between the pets on the field (changes egi-assualt I and II to the linked pet).can only be used while pet is on the field.

    lvl 50-enkindle-command the pets to execute their signature attack.

    lvl 52-upgrade miasma to miasma II. moved painflare to DWT.

    lvl 54-ruin III.

    lvl 56-tri-disaster.

    lvl 58 - Dreadwyrm Trance remain the same with additional effect:
    1.10% damage increase
    2. changes ruin II to ruin IV and outburst to painflare.
    cost:2 aetherflow stacks.
    cd:60 seconds.
    cannont be used when theres 2 stacks of primal essence

    lvl 60 -channeled force-can only be executed during trance,
    ends the trance upon use,uses the power of the primal to execute powerful skill,skill change based on what trance your at.
    DWT-change to DeathFlare.
    FBT- changes to Flame of rebirth-cast aoe around you inflicting damage and heal you and party members near you.

    level 62-ruin IV remain the same as well as stacking.

    level 64- aetherpack/devotion- becomes a self cast buff that increase damage to you and your pets on the field last 10sec. same cd

    level 66-bio III,Miasma III same.

    level 68-enhanced enkindle-same.

    level 70-advanced summoning II-allow you to summon 3 pets.

    advance DWT- trance give a primal essence stack.

    level 70 -grand summon-summon a demi-primal to your side.duration:20 seconds (demi skills tied to the egi system).
    upon summon resets both egi assaults and enkindle.
    change your skills like the trance for the duration of the summon.(just change skills,no trance buffs).
    upon summon,execute demi blessing-phoenix is everlasting flight,
    bahamut it can be something like-wyrm might-increase damage by 5% for all nearby party members for 10sec.
    upon leaving, demi cast its enkindle.
    cost:2 primal essence and 3 egi pets. can only be used when 3 pets are on the field.
    summon changes based on DWT and FBT that were used.
    once the demi leaves. DWT/FBT switches respectively.(like the current swap now)

    *after using grand summon,the egi will need to be resummoned.

    level 74-78 remain the same.

    FBT will move to level 80.

    level 80 FBT-will be without summon phoenix ,skill change and trance cast speed effect will remain. replace 10% damage to 5% damage + hp and mp regen.
    grand 2 primal essence stacks.summoning phoenix will be from grand summon skill.
    upon phoenix leaving switch FBT to DWT.

    thats the idea based on 5.0 changes,hope you liked it.

    They can’t even get one egi to work correctly since SMN has been in the game. I would rather them get rid of egis before allowing us to use two at a time. What I would like them to do is to fix all the problems with egi assault. It’s essentially a button to proc another spell.

    Don't forget that the game, even with the post-ShB improvements, didn't realistically fix the issue with pet ability queueing and it constantly throws out errors, can eat casts, and in genera egi assaultl is an ability that I wish the pets would do automatically just by existing because there is no reason to need the player to cast it directly.

    The devs can't figure out how to make pets work correctly, and I would also sooner rather get rid of permanent uptime pets. It's not a good system and throwing good dev time after bad is not a good investment of resources, nor does it more accurately capture the feel of SMN by doing that, so I'd rather they just didn't.

    im ignoring the bugs they have with the egi-system and make the kit in the mindset of how the pet is working in general.

    i already made a thread with the pets being more like demi summon and do the assault automatically.you can go check it out if you want ^^.

    Big issue you have is you did nothing to touch aetherflow, so basically once you get the egi pets, you effectively could delete energy drain/siphon and replace it with all 3 of the pet summons. Titan would still not be worth it, and I don't think you touched Ruination at all even though it needs some work (imo). While a bit shaky, the foundation shows promise with some refinement.

    They could just easily change the three egis into Primal Materia representing Red Materia (melee physical), Blue Materia (ranged magic), and Yellow Materia (tank/support). Each materia can be attuned to a type of primal and using it will enter a "Primal Trance". SE should just get rid of egi's entirely and focus on trances since it feels more like a summoner to summon primals to get the to do their signature move. The models are also already in-game and usable by the player in HoH.

    Here are some examples of an ability tool tip for Red Materia, but the other two are the similar with varying difference. Red is for single target, Blue is aoe, Yellow is party buffs.

    Ability: Red Materia
    -Summons attuned Demi-Primal, Ifrit or Shiva, to fight by your side. Each time you cast a spell on an enemy, Demi-Primal will execute an attack of 100 potency on the same target.
    Duration: 20s. Recast 90 secs. Cannot be used while Bahamut Trance, Firebird Trance or Judgment Trance is active. Shares a recast timer with Blue Materia and Yellow Materia.

    Ability: Red: Signature Attack
    -Orders your Demi-Primal to execute its Signature Attack. Shares a recast timer with Deathflare. Can only be executed while in Primal Trance. Primal Trance fades upon execution.

    Ability: Signature Attack: Inferno
    -Deals unaspected damage to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 500 for the first enemy, and 50% less for all remaining enemies.
    Can only be executed while Demi-Ifrit is summoned.
