Proposal to rename the Website Feedback & Suggestions subforum

Hiya CMs,

This renaming probably won't stop anyone. I secretly hoped that once the word Website was present, we would be good, gravy, and bequeathing bacon to everyone.

But alas, tis' not so.

New title: Web Site Feedback

If the Suggestions part of it is dropped, it may slightly (slightly) reduce the number of posts in this category. I think folks see it as "Website Feedback & (Game) Suggestions" instead of "Website Feedback & Website Suggestions".

And the more extreme version (I mean like moogle vampires biting a dragoon in the neck while he's jumping extreme) is to tack on Discussion and Suggestion to virtually every subforum:

Gladiator & Paladin Discussion and [related] Suggestions

Item & Synthesis Discussion and [related] Suggestions

The problem isn't so much that people are interpreting it as (Game) Suggestions, but more the problem that there ISN'T a game suggestion section and this is the closest thing to it.

Also, this isn't directed at you but rather other people I've seen rail into anyone who posts in the wrong area like they thought they were substitute forum mod or something, but why does anyone really even care? Does it ruin your gameplay experience or make it hard to find what you're looking for? I mean c'mon, unless you're actually being paid to camp these forums lighten up. If it bother's SE, they'll change it.

in the forum, there's a post saying what this forum is for, it indicates discussions and suggestions should go in the relevant subforums. I can understand the mistake of posting here. I would like to see ideas in a place where an enthusiast of that category is more likely to check and contribute.

It's like going to Gamestop, you're looking through Playstation 3 games and notice a mix of Xbox, Wii, and PC games in the mix. It doesn't take long to disregard them. But now to peruse through the PS3 games, you have to check out the xbox, wii, and psp sections to make sure they weren't hiding there too.

Now imagine that the back of the store where they put the games is just as disorganized. It takes longer for anyone to find anything when it's mislabeled or miscategorized. Where if everyone does their part, could have a more organized and productive forum.

If it helps the CMs keep track of our topics, escalate our feedback, provide updates etc. I'm for it. If it doesn't and they're doing just fine with the way things are, then leave it.

The purpose of this entire forum is so that you can leave feedback and suggestions about the game. The only area that is not intended for this purpose, is this one. Therefore, you're more likely to have your post looked over/deleted/ignored, if you post it here. It's like calling customer service because you're mad about a fee on your phone bill and then pressing the number for technical support, instead of billing issues. The person who takes your call isn't going to be able to help you because it's not their department.

It's ironic that people feel this is the only place to leave suggestions lol. What amazes me even more is when people get mad that their post was moved into the correct area.

Rename it the Elizabeth Tower! (Brits will get it)

I think another issue is most of the threads are started in General Discussion board too because that's the place most people bother to read (just look at the view/reply numbers compared to anywhere else on the forums). You can't really blame people for doing this either alot of the time, they've just noticed if they want an actual discussion in their post they need to go to the place where people discuss.
