So in order to have you're plot destroying you can't cancel/suspend game subscription for too long before you have to log in again.

SE definitely knows this. It keeps ppl subscribing so that they can log regularly enough to make sure they don't lose their house. I just resent it and housing demolition because they kinda have us trapped. And especially now with the game's popularity having increase, they should provide even more housing.

I support their "stay active or lose your house" philosophy. If you're not using it, then yes, it should free up for someone else to use.
