The OP did think about that and unfortunately that's not how some bodies works. Some perhaps can do that, some can not. Some feel it urgently, some do not.
The example brought up a person that had been in a queue for a while already (7 mins, with expected wait time of 14), then felt the need to take a short break. It is simply something that happens now and then. You probably didn't read the post in its entirety so I'll just point that out now.
2 minutes (at the most, as that would mean that it instantly popped once the controller was put down) AFK in a dungeon equals pretty much to viewing the introductory cutscene and waiting for the barrier to rise. I don't see an issue with this.
It doesn't suggest that the actual waiting time when IN a dungeon or raid is 2 minutes.
Ok, I perhaps wasn't clear enough. I thought I was, but as you're clearly misunderstanding this, I'll clarify it more. With Pause, it should freeze your position in the queue and not move your position forward. Instead, people in the queue bypass you. See it as two cars on a road where one stops, and the other overtakes and goes ahead.
