The level 74 physical DPS quest makes absolutely no sense

Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t done this yet.

But on this particular part of the quest chain, you have to go meet Reeq in Eulmore so he can get some coin from his wealthy father.

His parents are in that strip club (that’s what I call it) in the Canopy. You have to enter the front gate of Eulmore past several guards and other citizens, before going into the Canopy, next to where Lord Vauthry is, right?

Guess what Lord Vauthry’s #1 priority is at that point in the story? It is THE singular most important thing in the entire Eulmoran Army. Finding the Warrior of Darkness.

And yet, this quest has you traipsing through the literal front door of the place and into the freaking Canopy.

Uh...did the writers not think of that? Because that seems like a MASSIVE oversight.

The writers have to make this instance/quests for the most part separate from the story. Yeah it makes no sense that you enter Eulmore like it's nothing and hadn't just insulted the cities tyrant who wants your head but it would also be weird if were doing this quests after completing the story and had to sneak in because Vaulthy somehow returned, reclaimed control over Eulmore and still wants your head.

Yeah they could of made the story branch with different outcomes based on what point of they story you were at but... small indie company.

There was a concession made for it in the MSQ when leaving Eulmore after meeting Vauthry for the first time:

Duliachai - "And I shall make arrangements so that you can pass through the gate without causing a stir. I expect you to come and visit."

So it's thanks to the Chai's that you can enter whenever you want.

You could go back to Ul'dah post-2.55 and talk directly to Crystal Braves (who turned out to be conveniently secretly on your side) and nothing ever happened then either...

You could put on a disguise if you need the immersion.

You know what? I actually forgot about that. Maybe it's a MASSIVE oversight on my part. Still, though, I'm not sure how good Chai's words would be seeing as how angry Vauthry was, and by the time you get to the level 74 role quest, you've rescued Minfillia, defeated Ran'jit twice, and killed two Lightwardens. Going to Eulmore after all that would be going straight into the lion's den.

But Lord Vauthry could already be dead at this point, which gives you free reign to visit Eulmore if you've already finished one of the other role quests.

Yeah, personally I did Caster Role Quests during the MSQ and then Physical DPS afterwards.
