The lock icon went away on my hotbars....

I dunno how it happened but the lock icon went away on my hotbars, now when I press an item to do an action sometimes I accidentally pick up the item instead instead of using it. I don't understand how the lock icons could've just disappeared one day!

I'm on PS4. I tried toggling all the various options for hotbars including disable/enable drag and drop functionality.j

Did you hide your main hotbar in the HUD layout? The lock only displays with that hotbar.

Also, try switching to mouse and keyboard control then locking it there and switching back to gamepad control. Someone in the following thread had the opposite problem and theirs was permanently locked:

Thank you it was hotbar1 then had the lock. Just that the lock symbol had been there for some time and then isn't as likely ;;
