I know that there have been multiple threads on this already over the years. But we need this. Really. Has there been any information on if they will ever implement this?
I just did a leveling roulette and got Shisui of the Violet Tides (lvl 63, drops lvl 270 gear).
One of the DPS had normal quality ilvl 160-185 gear. One piece was HQ 255, one was from that dungeon. Two accessories were lvl 50 tank gear. Like a Platinum ring of fending. Their weapon was NQ ilvl 160. They had 5 (five) jobs at lvl 80.
The best thing was that pants dropped that were 85 ilvl better that what they had. And they passed (seriously, why does that ALWAYS happen? Severely undergeared players pass on loot that is so much better than what they have).
Why is there no ilvl requirement for those dungeons anyway? Why can I wear lvl 1 gear in Mt. Gulg, when the non-leveling dungeons have an ilvl requirement? This makes absolutely no sense.
I don't expect them to have super nice gear. But seriously, they had to have the gear to access the last story dungeon to even reach the first leveling dungeon of the next expansion. Make them just not be able to queue for leveling roulette if they don't even bother to get some gear that's at least somehow close to what should be expected.
This doesn't even affect new players because they get gear from their story quests. These are mostly players leveling alt classes which definitely should be able to buy at least some gear. So you won't lock new players out of leveling dungeons if you make some restrictions on what you can enter with. They don't have to be super high. But please. This has been asked so, so often.
I mean, I went into Bardam's Mettle with 270 gear because I didn't expect it in the roulette (I forgot I had barely leveled up up 65). But that was at least 270. And not 160 NQ. I healed ilvl 260-270 tanks in Castrum Abania, and they melted. But that gear wasn't completely useless at least. But ilvl 110 NQ tank gear on a DPS is.
