    Contantly getting error 90006

    Hello,

I am constantly getting error 90006 when playing. It can range from 1 minute to 15 minutes. This is the only MMO I have issues staying connected with.

I have tried the following after browsing around

    Code:
"-Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

If you have not done so already, please also try port forwarding the following ports:

    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040"
    Code:
Setting the launcher to windows 7 compatibility.
Setting the launcher to run as admin
Windows firewall has exceptions for the ports and the programs, I even turned off windows firewall and that didn't help.
3rd party Anti virus is not present on this machine.
    Any help would be appreciative.

I kept getting this last week, if you have Google Chrome try uninstalling it. That cleared it up for me, then I was able to reinstall Google Chrome and continue using it as normal. Not sure why or how that worked, but it did. They moved my thread to the solved cases board, so you probably haven't seen it. Thought this might be your prob too, so thought I'd reply. It also helped someone else who posted a thread with the same issue as me last week, too, so thought there was a pretty good chance this is what's affecting you, too.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Are you connected directly to the router? Where in game do you get disconnected?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I will give it a shot and see what happens. Not sure why that would interfere with a separate program that doesn't use it, but can't hurt.

I have been experiencing it ever since I started playing, so 3 or so days.
I am connected with a PCIe Gigabit Wifi card, to a TPLink Gigabit wireless router.
I get disconnected everywhere, walking around town/outside of town, talking to npcs. It is random.

Good morning and thank you for the reply.

Are you able to connect to the router directly with an Ethernet cable? Also, have any updates or changes been made to the network?

Trust me, I thought the exact same thing, but it sure as heck worked...for me and the other person that posted with the same issue last week!
