    Epic Battle: AF vs. Inventory

I realize SE has been hard at work at the so-called "mannequin" system for gear, but I have no idea what that entails. That being said, I figured surely something could be done about the strain all this AF places on our inventories.

Each set of job armor has the same five slots. Instead of receiving individual pieces as actual inventory, why not have a generic set of armor, let's call it Prismatic armor, that acts as the AF for the job you currently are.

    For example:

Say I'm a THM and I switch over to BLM. I then equip my Prismatic Helm, which, as a BLM would appear as my Wizard's Petasos with the appropriate stats. How about WAR? No problem. It would then be my Fighter's Burgeonet instead.

I doubt this would be simple on the coding side of things, but it would ease up the burden of carrying up to 7 different sets of AF gear, not including weapons or future jobs. Here we would only have at most 6 pieces (assuming some sort of prismatic weapon is included).

Or maybe I just like the word "prismatic" (I blame Chrono Cross!)

*edit: I'm getting the impression that some misunderstand my proposition. I'm not saying we should have one piece count for an entire set of AF, thus not allowing you to mix and match other types of gear with AF. There would be 5 pieces of armor, so if you only want to wear the AF body, then just equip the prismatic body piece and fill in the rest of the slots with what you want.
