    Healing is done by Healer when raid-wide aoe happen anyway and RDM lose dps if they forced to heal themselves often.
    It is only a cure 1. And what you outlined just there is why vercure doesn't need to be included in your suggestion of things that get turned off for a DPS stance. Vercure is RDM's only answer to second wind/bloodbath etc; it has no cooldown, but in exchange for that using it is a dps loss except when the boss is not around to be targeted, in which case it becomes a DPS gain allowing the Red Mage to prep a dualcast for when the boss returns to the field.

    And why do you need vercure when

    in ES1 you have melee who can take prey debuff from you

    in ES2 no melee who got second wind/bloodbath need to use it if healer is competent.

    You said vercure is just a cure 1 and imply it's insignificant but then you kinda contradicted yourself by saying if you can't use this weak heal in raid it is a big deal.

    Likewise, why do you need vercure nerfed/access removed if those are the case?

    Like I queried earlier: is your suggestion now that all DPS have to turn off their self-recovery in order to access their damage suite?

    I honestly don't think you know how to play to red mage at it's current fullest potential since you haven't gotten the points that have been made and if you're not playing the job at the fullest potential than there's often a good chance that additions you want for the job might not be what is best for the job.

    If you have a stance that ups your damage by taking away vercure, there is a chance that the job itself will be hindered because than it would be cut out of any ability to heal itself that other jobs have (which vercure as is can be helpful in dungeon and while soloing and since they took away stance dancing from other jobs to uncomplicate them why would they re introduce such a mechanic anyways). This will hurt the casual player mostly.

    Taking away vercure to increase damage would hurt the hard core ability because you would take the ability to prep dual cast right before the end of a downtime phase (which means you can cast a higher potency spell quicker and can bypass jolt). I also don't see them trying to provide another slot just to allow this since they are trying to get rid of button bloat (hence all the additional slashes we had going into Shadowbringers) and while red mage itself currently doesn't suffer from it, I don't see why they would waste creating an ability that is not needed.

    1. It doesn't get remove. Read carefully it only temporary disable when you want dps for burst phase. When RDM going for DPS you don't want to keep healing anyone anyway. It's not a loss. Again R-e-a-d- C-a-r-e-f-u-l-ly.

    2.I didn't say all dps so don't accuse me. The part where no melee need to use their second wind/bloodbath in ES2 is a fact taken from real experience. You can ask around if you need proof

    but if you prefer to keep vercure so you can heal yourself when it isn't unnessary to lower your own dps then I'm afraid I have no cure for you.

    2. You have the option to not use the stance 24/7.

    3. When vercure/verrise is not needed that's when you using stance. clear?

    The whole reason behind the tax is that Red Mage has access to these at any time lmao. Red Mage is taxed for having access to verraise on a whim, giving them a stance they can turn on and off at that same whim won't change the tax at all. The purpose of this tax is answering the question "Why bring a black mage when red mage can raise?" with "because black mage does more damage."

    My assumption was you were suggesting this to be like a sect for AST, which blocks the player out for the entire fight. If it is that mitigates the tax, if it's not it doesn't.

    I said a stance with long recast time you can't cancel the stance to verrise/heal and go back to stance immidiately. But you can plan ahead to use it with the burst phase.

    It still doesn't mitigate the tax one bit. What you're suggesting is essentially Cleric Stance for Red Mages, and sure that's an idea, but it doesn't accomplish the goal you set out to accomplish.
