Cannot Obtain flying in Ruby Sea

Hello,

I've never had issues with FFXIV before so I'm sorry if I don't write this up correctly.

Data Center: Crystal
Server: Coeurl
Character: Siva Rakuen

But I cannot obtain flying in the Ruby Sea Zone of Stormblood. The quest for The Palace of Lost Souls will not award me a quest completion. I put in a ticket in game but I never received a response so I'm not sure if it wasn't received or if it was user error.

I've tried both running it sync'd and unsync'd as well as abandoning the quest and repicking it up and running it again. This isn't the only Dungeon/Trial quest that won't reward me but it is the only one impacting my game play.

I tried bypassing needing the quest by purchasing a story boost, cause I don't mind spending money to save time as I find this game to be worth it, however I'd already finished the MSQ for SB so it won't let me use it. So I'm back to square 1.

Any help is greatly appreciated~

Is there a reason this was moved OUT of technical support and into general discussion? Last I checked I would need a GM or otherwise someone from WITHIN FFXIV to solve this problem? Pretty sure random players can't magically fix my quest not giving me credit. Is there anyone I can tag about this cause I'm pretty upset at this point.

I can only guess, but this smells more like a bug report than a tech support issue. SE support has never been the best, though. If you did post it in the bug report section, they may have kicked it out because it's missing a ton of information that they ask for.

This is also very curious. We obviously aren't support, but I'm intrigued to hear what else you aren't getting credit for.

Hm... I can't quite remember how it goes, but i think you need to talk to Kurenai either near the exit inside the dungeon or outside near the entrance to the dungeon after the dungeon completion.

You are correct. Except its not giving me completion for it. My quest marker won't turn green and I can't turn in.

I had to log in to look it up, but they're all trials.

Because it's not a technical issue, and they expect you to at least take a short glance at the sticky thread(s), one of the two tells you to post bugs in the Bug Report section. You can use the threads posted in the tech support section to see if you're dealing with an issue that requires tech support (most of the threads are about game crashes, error codes etc.).

Did you stay on the same job the entire way through from accepting, completing the quest items, and then getting the final part done? I know sometimes the quests restrict you to only turning it in on the job you accepted it with for EXP reasons. Like not being able to complete a level 63 quest you picked up as a 63 whm, as a lvl 52 mch for example.

I was WHM lv 70 the entire time. I even abandoned the quest and picked it back up and re ran it. Still a no go. I also tried it Unsynced with the same results.

Only other thing I could assume would be like having your job stone taken off if you swapped to a different job for a moment and not putting it back on.

That just sounds really baffling. If you want later on I don't mind speeding through it with you unsynced just to verify it too.
