    1. Dev team doesnt try out their patches.
    2. There are still a lot of potency missing on SAM and NIN compaired to the other Melee DPS. Looks like NIN is getting a range tax for some reason?
    3. Its still better to take a MNK/DRG over SAM on any given time, as well as taking anything over a NIN except for DNC at the moment which means I suspect we also need buffs on DNC.

Cut off a couple of damage percentages of DRG (about 2%), a bit more on BLM and MNK (3%) and boost every other job's damage percentage by about 5% (RDM, SMN, MCH, BRD, SMN, NIN) and about 6% on DNC.
    I have a solution. 2 steps.

First Fix the classes that need it. Knock the one's down who are laughably over performing. And it is laughable. They are so far beyond it is a meme.

Second: After everything has been balanced properly and people see that it's all going fairly well, ban damage meters. Forever. Running them is a bannable offense. Enforce it religiously. I know this makes me unpopular, but from the time I have spent in this game they are literally ruining it.

They are responsible for classes being excluded. They are responsible for the relentless tryhard, you know the guy, complaining in groups that wipe. (person gets mad at wipe, goes to the damage meter, and picks the guy or girl who's still learning/not a tryhard/trying not to have a siezure from the flashing aoe circles bosses have become)

I know many will disagree, but that dps meter is ruining the game. That dps meter has become the game. It is all that matters. It is "the precious."

But I know this will be unpopular because of tryhards and min-maxers.
So go ahead and tell me how I am wrong, when it's the single thing that influences EVERY SINGLE DECISION you people make in combat. Should I use this skill to make healing easier for my WM? NAH! I need to weave and if I lose this weave or clip something I am looking at a total net loss of 34.5 dps. UNACCEPTABLE!

How bout this? Less boring content so we can focus on fun stuff instead of our stupid rotation charts and tutorials so we don't fall behind on that stupid, horrible, plague of a meter.

The dps meter runs your game now yoshi. It's doesn't belong to you anymore.

I'm not going to take a stance on the aye/nay dps meter part, but taking away the parser doesn't change the current name of the game. Its the combat design thats dps focused, and taking away the parser would just make things harder to gauge and measure.

It would still be all about that "deeps". The parser is a symptom not the sole cause.

If you have an issue with the dps meta you should probably first lobby for a different combat design.

Yes, because god forbid people care about playing their classes to their fullest extent and then being annoyed because of how much effort you put in to being a 98th percentile bard, just to be beaten by a 60th percentile black mage.

People care about playing well, and people care about how well their class does relative to other classes, there's no helping it. I assume by your attitude you don't raid, otherwise you wouldn't be condemning damage meters, and there's nothing wrong with not raiding, but suggesting that we just outright ban all damage meters just shows how ignorant you are to the fact that parsers are very important as a tool for higher end content, both for evaluating group performance and finding out who is under-performing in terms of dps.

Also, I don't see how damage meters are ruining the game, the only time I ever hear a person's damage being mentioned is in content where you have an enrage timer to beat and even then people don't comment on damage until you wipe at least once or twice to the enrage, but I'm not mentioning joining statics since obviously if you want to join a static that aims for week 1 or 2 clears, your dps and grasp on your class better be darn good if you want to pull your weight in savage content with a low item level.
