Is the SE Acct sign in different from the SE STORE Acct ? Cause i tried to buy the game time card code and it keeps saying invalid sign in / pw...

Yes they are totally different systems. Heard somewhere that the store isn't even run by se itself

From what I remember (as I've only ever bought one thing from there years ago), yes it is. As I understand it this is because the SE Store is actually run by a third-party company on SE's behalf, so requires their own login to buy anything. The SE Account Management System is for game (FFXI and FFXIV) subscriptions and DLC like the Mogstation. Unfortunately I think there is no way around this.

They actually did an update to the store where it uses your SE account credentials, user name and password but not one-time password if you have that setup, to sign in. I use to sign in with a separate user name and password but that's no longer the case. If you didn't have an account/never bought anything from them you may need to create an account then link it as I had to link my old store account and SE account when they made that change.

You don't need a game account to buy the sort of merchandise the SE Store sells, so they'd have to at least make it possible to keep them separate, even if it was SE themselves running it. (Actually, I'm not even sure why they'd add an option to link the two.)
