Please add an option to the mog station under "additional platforms" to activate a steam copy of the game. Before the latest update I was able to play my windows copy of final fantasy through steam, giving me access to the steam overlay, uploading screenshots, etc. Thanks.

Or give us an option to switch our account type to steam version. I always used the steam launcher for steam feature and now i will be forced to download the game all over again on a crappy internet connection

Yes, please. Add the ability to re-enable access by the Steam version of the FF14 launcher for those who got into the game before the Steam version of FF14 was available. Even rebuying the expansions twice would be ok by me, but that might not be an opinion shared by all others.

But the opposite, breaking Steam FF14 Launcher to Windows Account has no purpose that I can see.

I echo this sentiment. I have created a thread on this subject already specifically in regards to opening up Steam as another registerable platform on the Mogstation in particular.

Be sure to add your voice specifically to the larger thread as that has the highest visibility. Unfortunately the OP doesn't really offer a solution for Windows Users who actually want to use the Steam Client but it is at least tangentially related to our particular use case scenario. Perhaps he could be convinced to update his Original Post to reflect the changes we are calling for as well. In the meantime you can add your voice to my posts as well if it's that particular use case that you are concerned about.
