Monk should it be "Nerfed" ?

The current Damage Dealer meta is a mess and standing at the top is Monk. Now I could show a bunch of FFLOGs statistics showing as such but the forums isn't so kind to people that do and I don't want to get banned.

The question is as such is Monk too powerful in the current meta and is a nerf appropriate?

As a current SAM main which is now more memey after the potent NIN buff I say no just buff the other jobs up to specs. I leveled a NIN after leveling a SAM which felt weird in a bad way because of the weaker dps. Nerfing MNK would create a similar feeling and I would rather not have MNK mains go through that. You would say but current sav content would be too easy if you do that but it has been weeks now and people got more gear and probably get even more geared by 5.1 when these buffs would happen.

They do, but Monk doesn't deserve being stronger than BLM (and SAM) which has no utility. Monk needs to be adjusted.

I mean while I agree that ranged needs a buff this forum post is specifically about Monk and whether or not it needs a nerf. Current issues about Monk that people are bringing up is that 1. Utility to Potency trade off isn't being followed 2. Players believe that the current Anatman opener wasn't what the Development team intended for the job to do.

Monk and Black Mage clearly need nerfs. Dragoon is iffy.
If they don't get nerfed, then they need to bring the bottom end jobs up instead. One or the other.

Personally I think it would be easier for them to nerf a couple classes than buff nearly half a dozen. So I think they should. Monk clearly isn't supposed to be this strong...
