How do I move files from steam to windows client?

Due to the new update which turned everything upsidedown for me , how do I go about moving my gamefiles from steam to windows?

I have both steam and windows license but my character is on my windows license.

I always ran the game via steam, but now I can't do that anymore it seems.

My net is very slow so downloading the game would take days, if not a week. Surely there's a way to move the files somehow? since I have it already downloaded on steam.

You don't have to move anything. Just create a shortcut of ffxivboot64 on your desktop. You can also add that new shortcut as a non-Steam game if you want to run it through Steam. Though various steam functions will be unavailable to you.

    C: > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Final Fantasy XIV Online > boot > ffxivboot64
