Not naming any names, but I found a medium house in goblet that had an interesting, if bland yard but was suspiciously empty inside even though it was an FC house. I looked up the FC owner's name and lo and behold it belonged to a level one player with no other classes open, and the FC itself only has four members. So here's a very big home that is basically a shell owned for no other apparent reason that to simply own it, while active players are outside camping a small for their first ever home, be it for themselves or for an FC.

Why is this standard for FC home owning allowed? I understand if they're in the process of building an FC from scratch or lost a bunch of members, but shouldn't there at least be a time limit for FC inactivity before the "FC House" is repossessed? It's so easy to bypass the one home rule with an FC home, and this player isn't even doing anything with it.

A bit more investigating showed that none of the four members have more than one class open and none are above level 15, and the FC was formed in 2016. What a waste.

Everyone does it, create a FC to be solo, but the worst is to buy it to leave it empty.

That's basically what it is. It's a filler character to hold the FC until the owner is ready to do something with it. They might even be trying to wait for a moment where they could relocate to that spot. But chances are it's on reddit with a sale price for an extremely unreasonable price that'll make you question your sanity.

I don't know the reason behind this case but when my group of friends moved to the new servers we emptied our FC house of all the stuff we'd wanted to keep and then closed it up and left it on an alt to be demolished, so maybe they are waiting for it to be demolished aswell?

In some cases they just want their own house and if they have to make a faux FC to get it, they will. Others intend to flip the FC house for profit.

Including never stepping foot in it apart from once a month to ensure it's not demolished? You can't tell me this lv 1 character is actually active when the house is empty. Legitimate just-following-the-rules-=) greed is still greed.

You're saying it's not also greed to sit in this thread lusting over other people's houses that they worked hard to get and devising ways to steal their houses from them?
