not sure you would dump BLM for NIN
possibly just makes NIN on par with Drg

Eh? Blm takes the caster spot.
If anything, blm with a nin makes blm even more wanted because the dps they can do under TA.

My bad, haven’t really look into SMN change. Was searching for NIN, DNC and RDM, which I think the bottom 3 pre 5.08.

Nupe devs only mentioned bandaid changes to NIN, SAM, and SMN for 5.08, with more changes in 5.1. I suspect well see other jobs changes then as well, but dont expect anything major, devs seemed pretty alright with how the other jobs are doing, so we shall see.

??? Why would parties drop BLM for a NIN? BLM is godly right now. Even with these buffs, I doubt NIN will suddenly be pulling numbers as high as BLM. Aside from the fact that it wouldn’t be competing for the ranged spot, but one of the melee slots.

What? Even setting aside the fact you wouldn't swap out a Caster for a third melee. Black Mage is an absolute monster right now. If anything, it's the Physical Range who are scared right now.
