dancer duo?

can somebody explain to me why in a party with 2 dancers, they cant partner each others but one DNC has to put dmg buff on a tank? dnc is a DPS class, so giving an extra 5% dmg is still better than giving a tank (which is not a dps class) 5% dmg buff, i dont understand this logic lol... please help

To my knowledge, there is nothing stopping two Dancers from choosing each other as their partner. The only downside to it is that one Dancer's Technical Step will override the other's, and that'd happen with two Dancers regardless and can easily be avoided by having the second Dancer wait until the first's Technical Step is close to expiring before using their own.

Dancers can Dance Partner one another. You’ll just have to be careful with Technical Finish and Devilment, as neither will stack.

went with a group and they are pretty convinced that 2 dancers should never partner each others, they said its useless having 2 dancers partner each other is a waste of dmg.. and they never explain to me why -_- beside the obvious reason being Technical Finish and Devilment which i already know ...

It would honestly depend on how much damage each DNC was doing. However, 10% on 2 good DNCs will always outweigh 5% on a tank. Now, if the tank is better than one of the DNCs, giving them the 5% from Standard Finish would be better. But, again. It depends on the damage being dealt by each. Theoretically, the Dance Partner on the DNC should come out ahead.
