Krile's Attire 12$ yet cannot dye the outfit.

This just seems ridiculous to have to point out at all but. Why do we pay 12$ yet we cannot even dye anything but the hair? I just find this outrageous that I buy an outfit that I cannot dye. So you will barely be able to mix and match and it just seemed like a huge waste. I mean there is not even a higher priced one you can dye. Would love it if you guys could make it able to be dyed. I seriously get confused on what it is with square and not making a ton of outfits that cannot be dyed in an mmo game where costomization is a HUGE part of the game.

Well you don't have to pay anything, you could wait till it goes down in price (through a sale) or just not buy it at all you know, completely optional purchase. Don't get me wrong kinda agree on being able to dye NPC stuff, but dev mentality seems to be they want to keep them exactly as they are. Plenty of other outfits are dyable though...

I wasn't complaining about the price of it. And yes you do have to pay 12$ if you want it. And other outfits arent this outfit so Im not sure how other outfits being dyable is a logical argument in the least. The point is if you want this outfit it will cost you 12$ it is only accessible threw the mog station and it cannot be dyed besides the hair for some odd reason.

This is nothing new. NPC outfits have never been dyeable; and I don’t think there’s any plans to make them dyeable, since the developers like the idea of “authentic-ness” with regards to their NPC outfits. I think they should be dyeable, but I don’t work at Square Enix, so...

    You brought it up...

what it is with square and not making a ton of outfits that cannot be dyed
The logical of what I was trying to say is despite the NPC gear being undyable, non-NPC is regularly added to the MogStation which is in most cases fully dyable, so it's somewhat incorrect to say SE are making a ton that can't be customised. I would prefer any NPC gear to be obtainable in-game, but saying that if people are willing to pay real cash for it instead, then if would be silly for SE not take advantage of that extra income.

@Kurando Um DUH, yeah I brought it up. Because it just seems silly to make one thing be dyable and another not, and you saying oh well other outfits can be dyed so why complain!? Like the gear you get for doing your class quests. The only one you can dye are ARR upgraded versions. It isn't just this outfit that I find confusing, its a lot of them that are locked off from color customization for no good reason. And for once i'm asking for a legit reason as to why all this stuff cannot be dyed. Too much work? Lazy? Saving money? Not enough time?“authentic-ness”? Whats the issue here? I feel you have a bit of fanboy-ism going on here. FF14 can do no wrong everything they do is right. Because nothing I said was SO out there crazy. I like the game I support them with willing purchases but I have full right to question something about it. I just want to know why some outfits that are super well designed and look great never get the option to be dyed. Whether it be mog station, class gear, or even crafted. It is an mmo and I love to have as much variety as possible.

This isn’t true. All job gear is dyeable once you upgrade it—the only set that currently cannot be upgraded into a dyeable version of itself is the ShB relic gear. All the other ones can be upgraded and subsequently dyed. No one is defending SE here, but this is their decision. None of the NPC outfits have ever been dyeable, so I’m not sure why you expected for this one to be different in that regard.

Considering that you’re complaining about this NPC outfit not being dyeable when none of the other previous NPC outfits have ever been dyeable, it comes off as if you expected it to be dyeable. As I said, no one really likes that NPC gear isn’t dyeable, but to complain about this one not being dyeable after there is a well established precedent is just shouting meaninglessly into the wind.

Though, do try to learn your facts about dyeable job gear before you try to use them as a comparison.
