Housing release on Twintania/Spriggan

So it would have been nice to have a little more warning that this was coming with patch 5.08 other than reading it from the patch notes. I'm sure the Shirogane release back in SB was announced sufficiently beforehand. Time for FCs to scuttle around trying to get their desired plot...

Same. I'm not a huge fan of them just throwing it like that. I'm glad we're finally getting housing, but it seems so sudden. My FC actually thought we'd have at least a week to get prep.
Don't get me wrong, we've prepared for a while but you know, the big preparation last minute thingy, we thought we'd have a heads up or something.

At least it's FC first.

To be honest thought they would release Housing for the two new Servers around 5.1 but this is actually sudden. Also it seems kind of meh to do it now during a weekday especially when it is like 11am/12pm for most of the Europeans where they are mostly at work.

Yet i wish all of you on Spriggan/Twintania Good Luck on getting your desired Plot! ^^

I wonder how many FCs have the money saved up for their desired plots, because it's quite harsh for new players to save up that much in such short time while leveling. Let's just hope the personal housing part will take much longer to give companies more time to get plots.

Same. We had a meeting next week planned to start prep on getting an FC house. Our plans. Making teams to sit at the plots and the funds, only to find out its just been thrown in there.. We did get a plot in the end and hope to get enough together for a medium but man. Everyone was running around in a panic.

The thing is, and they said this years ago. SE considers housing as Endgame content, so sadly, they don't take new players into consideration for it. It's suppose to be a cosmetic gil sink for those with a lot of money and nothing more. We as players, treat it as something much much more however.

The game has changed massively in most aspects, and not at all in others. It's really very disjointed in some ways and I think housing is the prime example of this.

I didn't get on FF until now and saw the news so i'm quite happy it was only for FC's. Luckily my FC managed to get our planned large in Lavender ^^ I hope other FC's got their dream houses aswell !

I'm on Spriggan so don't know how it was on Twintania today. But most of the wards are basically empty. There are a few larges gone but I'd say mabe 50 FCs grabbed a house (if at all). We got the plot we were aiming for and even now there are plenty of the same plots left. The only ones that are gone is in Shirogane 30/60.

Even as a small FC you could have prepared for housing long ago. And even if you don't get it today there really is no need to panic. I'd say that larges will be available until personal housing hits. And mediums will be around for much longer. Heck, I'm betting my arse that you can find free houses until the end of the year. So don't feel pressured. Take your time. Although housing is limited, we have over 4 000 plots. There are like not even half of that amount of active players on the server so you really don't be scared.

Could they have announced it beforehand? Sure. Would it have been neccessary - Not really... It kinda helped not to have a bunch of panic folks who run for something and grab it because it might be gone. If you are logging in right now and check the wards, you will see that 95% is still left and you can take your time to pick the one you really want instead of just panic clicking a plot because you think this might be it.
