Yeah, i don't know about that as well, my tank mate i play with all the time is toxic af and goes to yell at people for messing up and he never even received a warning. Sometimes it gets so extreme that i tell him to leave them alone.Been playing the game for over a year an a half even called Asahi sas Brutus a c*** one time in Castrum Fluminis. Dunno where all these so called crybabies are...Maybe its different on an EU server. Pretty sure it's possible to run a trial or raid without effin' and blinding at people apart from Asahi tho that guy really is a 'see you next Tueday'

That's the price you pay for an overly trigger happy Blockwart community that reports everything that might offend someone at some time in the next 1000 years.
After playing this game for 5 years I learned that the community here is no different than WoWs, the only thing is that in WoW people say it to your face, here, people rage behind your back while putting on a polite front. Result: eventually you will get kicked w/o someone saying a word to you.

They gotta do that! If they don't put on a front, they will be reported and banned! That's the price you pay for an overly trigger happy Blockwart community that reports everything that might offend someone at some time in the next 1000 years.

Absolutely not true. I played WoW for 5 years. The community was terrible. People talk to everyone with no respect whatsoever and devs don't care AT ALL. In FFXIV the devs want you to conduct yourself with a shred of decency. OH THE HORROR. FFXIV community is MUCH better as a result. I won't respond to rebuttals. This is my opinion and it won't change. That's the price you pay for an overly trigger happy Blockwart community that reports everything that might offend someone at some time in the next 1000 years.

So finally made it to level 50 and that "raid". The one called "bard"-something-or-other. Full party.
What struck me was the massive difference between WoW and FF14.
Due to not knowing the fight and my horrendous latency (1000+ms), I died...a lot.
Not one single person flamed me, or told me to "get gud", or uninstall, or anything like that.
Actually, they just kept throwing rezzes at me.
What a HUGE difference between that experience and the experience I'd have under the same circumstances in WoW. It's actually amazing.
I just wish FF14 wasn't so quiet! I do miss the world chat WoW has. FF14 is very lonely. I don't play very much because I feel so alone in the world. I liked the world chat because, even when not participating, it made the world seem so much more alive. The chat was entertaining as much as the gameplay was.
Lonely?
You may wanna try to join the so called "linkshells" or free companies even. FF14 (as I can read between the lines in your post) has a great and big community. Not everyone wants a world / all - chat because it can get a bit messy..
I think what you want in this game is the get to know people in order to have company!
Wife and I are WoW refugees and we've been playing FF14 for about a month. We boosted a WHM (her) and BLM (me) to 70 and we are having an absolute blast in Shadowbringers. The trust system for dungeons is amazing and really lets us learn the dungeon before we step foot in it with others players. They have been my training grounds, and it's so much better than a target dummy!
Titania was our first 8 man fight that we had to learn from scratch with other players. We watched the video before entering, which helped a lot, but we still died multiple times on some of the mechanics, and we only wiped the group twiceWe managed to clear it on our 3rd attempt and the victory felt sweet! Only one person in our group was a little passive-aggressive about it, while the rest of the group was amazing. We had one guy offering tips and everyone was receptive to his advice, which I found refreshing.
I'm sure we'll encounter all types of folks as we continue our path to greatness! My takeaway from all this so far is that most players are genuinely nice and want to help others, but everyone loses their patience from time-to-time and it's up to us how we handle it.

Here the difference for me:
Never played WoW, never seen what it looks like.
I've played FFXIV for almost 6 years.
The end.

What kinds of things are you saying you’ve been reported for? I’ve never been to GM jail or suspended from the game at all in the past 4 years I’ve been playing the game and I talk in party/alliance chat someone frequently. That's the price you pay for an overly trigger happy Blockwart community that reports everything that might offend someone at some time in the next 1000 years.

Beats me, never seen or heard from a GM. I know how to behave myself and I mostly keep to myself anyway.
In this forum? I got one infraction so far because apparently discussing and giving advice about a players performance in a cold, mathematical manner is considered "discrimination against a portion of the playerbase". I mean I would have understood if they infracted me for referencing the website & program that shall not be named but discrimination? ... Guess the Mod just picked the first option available in order to be done with it.
Since then I assume that every post of mine is reported and keep out of any serious discussions about specific players.
