Indeed. You may also wish to check out the Sightseeing Log. It contains a list of all such vistas, along with hints for what emote you should use to register them.

It shows in your chat log (as you can see in your screenshot). It says you have arrived at a Vista. The sightseeing log will tell you what emote needs to be performed at that location to complete it.

Many of them are completed via /lookout. There are a few that need pray or sit. I know there's one in Stormblood that also has a time of day.

Are those markers on the vista sites new? Or are they only in the expansion zones? I don't think I've ever seen one in the ARR regions. (The ARR sightseeing log, with both time and weather restrictions and some difficult jump puzzles to reach most of the vistas, is annoying enough that I gave up actively seeking out entries a long time ago, but I might try for some if I saw they were available.)

The ARR Vistas don't have these markers. But the HW, SB, and ShB Vistas have them.

Yeah, just the newer zones. Most of the vistas from HW on are just open to be found. A few will have either a jumping puzzle(peg tower or the bridge in CWH for instance) or a time/weather requirement(i remember there being a sunrise/early morning one in the ruby sea). I dont think theyve added any since ARR with more then 1 difficulty(accessibility time or weather) to overcome.
