On that we agree. I'm not as convinced that moving away from gender locks would necessarily influence gear design, but I can see why you're concerned that it would.Oh don't get me wrong, I hate arbitrary restrictions too. If there is no budgetarily prohibitive technical reason why a female character shouldn't be able to wear the existing model of Cid's goggles, then a male-only restriction shouldn't be a thing. Likewise, I wish I could put on Gosetsu's shiny hat, and I think the flower crown debacle was silly too. It could have easily been two separate items.
You can't decide where the proper tradeoff lies for other people though. It's subjective. Krile's outfit has been brought up as an example supporting the idea that some clothes only look good on certain races but I don't see a problem with it on non-lalafells as far as the form goes. The hood doesn't work well with Viera, but I much prefer having the option to wear it than for someone else to decide that I can't.
Found the bigot...
Do you not like boobs? The point is that male characters get more variety of long-coats. closed coats, open coats, and a shirtless coat. The only cross class glamour coat for females is
the one with their busts hanging out.
While I do like the looks of the female items on the Mogstation. They all show skin.
And if the Devs did make a Mogstation coat (which I doubt) it will most likely have an exposed bust.
neh doesnt bother me nor do i need more options~
Id prefer if they updated race textures etc for example

PS: damn those low blows in the thread tho xD
It seems there's a correlation between those opposed to adding more variety in clothing as well as in adding more variety to the genders of the new races. Shocking...

Without Yoshi you would have no game to begin with, also talking about 'dumbing down' your grammar is pretty dumb...
anyway I've fanted from male au ra to female miq'ote...I am sad I can no longer use my Gosetsu hat that went with my SAM glam![]()
