    Personally, I think many people don't realize how much recourses affect DRK.

    We have 2 windows, burst window (Delirium) and build recourses window (Blood Weapon).

    Our combo gives us 2 resources, MP and Blood Gauge.
    If you're not keeping uptime on target, you will be losing not 1 but 2 recourses.

    Blood Weapon window is tighter than Delirium window, and is more punishing (Haven't seen people brining this up).
    Blood Weapon gives you (again) 2 resources, MP and Blood Gauge.

    Your goal is to maximize MP and Blood Gauge gain under Blood Weapon. If you cannot do that, you get less MP and less Blood Gauge. Which will lead to feeling that you're not generating enough recourse to press more buttons.

    The reason DRK needs to meld Skill Speed is not for Delirium like many seem to think, it's for Blood Weapon.

    If all what you have been doing is focusing on is Delirium and ignoring Blood Weapon (Not trying to max it's gain) You're losing a lot of recourses.

    Not maxing out Blood Weapon gain --> Less MP & Blood Gauge --> Less Edge/Flood of Shadow & Less Bloodspiller/Quietus.
    Which will make the job seem slow.

    In order to max Blood Weapon gain, you need to fit 5 GCDs under it. Depending on your ping, you need to meld Skill speed until you're cabable of doing that.

    From what I understand, people want generating recourses to be much easier than it is now (At the moment our source generating window is very tight).
    I can agree to that. But disagree about reworking DRK entire kit. It is fun to play when you max out your recourses.

    i will argue that PPL want is more consistent and busy gameplay like how DRK historically has been in this game, optimice bloodweapon don't save the job of being mostly inactive the rest 50s specially sinde 1 of the resources are for a GCD, the changes of bloodweapon and duration with delirium changes affect a lot that and for my personal opinion thats why i want both blood weapon and delirium being reverted to his SB state (with ajustments to his MP gains of course) so the job doesn't feel painfully empty when you don't have bloodweapon.

    as many point before the job feels like WAR too right now primary bcs you have to treat both bloodweapon and delirium like a inner release window and secondary thanks to that the GCD rotation is 90% the same, the resource manage is pretty low compared to his old versions thanks to long recast and short duration of both BW and del making you focus on the only combo the job have during the down time wich is literaly 80% of the time.

    DRK need a rewrok on both blood weapon and delirium and adjust the gameplay around darkside, this mechanic is so effortless is just there for the sake of being there.

    btw blood weapon generate 1 bloodspiller and 1 edge worth in resources, it doesnt make the job busy specially since bloodspiller delay you resource generation.

    What if Darkside was a Haste buff instead?

    From a DPS standpoint Dark's mostly GCD based (As edge / flood are resource based, so more resource via haste = more floods) and would only lose slightly in Plunge, Salted Earth, and Abyssal Drain, and Carve and Spit.

    Technically Delirium.

    But then you change a +10% damage to +15% haste and it still comes out to a small net gain for numbers, but the "Feel" should be more satisfactory.

    Was gonna say that I think DRK is actually fine. It plays well. The only change I'd like to see is for BW to have the same duration functionality as Delirium. Maybe change the drawback on Living Dead.

    But this suggestion is actually really good. Especially if it affects Spells, too, as that means it would speed up the AoE rotation for DRK. Plus, it further differentiates DRK from WAR (the two are very similar right now) and its Storm's Eye buff.

    So now I want to say that BW's duration should be changed to functionally mirror Delirium's duration, Living Dead's drawback should probably be changed, and Darkside should give a haste buff instead of a damage buff!

    BW feels quite tight, but I like that it's at least capable to fix somewhat via melding sks. But that said, not opposed to see it mirrored to delirium.

    The frustration for me rn is how it feels punishing to use, more than anything, due to necessity to delay into the 2nd ogcd position.
    It feels like the Gold Saucer Tower Striker game essentially, with the strike zone being ~9-10oclock where you're punished if you hit it too early (only 4/5 gcd under bw) and super punished if hit it too late (clip gcd).

    I like DA as is, bc it lets you stockpile your EoS until it's needed, disconnecting a need to immediately expend resources after a buster. If tbn burst and immediately became a haste buff, would mean still some punishing aspect to using TBN in the circumstance that the boss disappeared in the duration of the buff after you shield.

    I have no issue with DRK's current direction in 5.0 but this would be a really cool idea and I'd be down for it. Make them in go fast mode at all times, the MNK of tanks.
