I share the exact same sentiments. HW Dark Knight was my favorite version of the job. Then SB forced you to rely on Dark Arts too much which led to the job feeling incredibly clunky. While ShB's version of the job isn't like HW, I still find it far better than what we got last expansion. Edge/Flood of Shadow have much more impact personally compared to DAing everything.
Same ship here, haven’t have time to play some DRK in ShB yet, but I literally drop DRK and change to WAR when SB launch because DA this DA that. Even if the current DRK look like WAR, I still prefer it over DA DA DA DA
