    If Housing isn't fixed by this expansion I'm taking my money elsewhere.

    I doubt any of the devs will read this as all these complaints are basically piss in the wind to them. But my issue is the fact that THEY KNOW what the issues are currently, THEY KNOW timers are dumb, THEY KNOW people are losing sleep over this, THEY KNOW an entire FC owns half a ward, THEY KNOW this current set up is promoting click bots/RMT house flipping, THEY KNOW all of this and have to to put out a single quick patch to fix any of these issues.

    My quick fix would look like this:
    1) END PLOT RELOCATION: Stop it completely, people with houses shouldn't get dibs on plots that are for people without them, ESPECIALLY with the RNG timer implementation. Plot relocation is currently a bane to new house buyers and a boon for RMT. Someone wants to buy a house with money? All someone has to do is relinquish the plot, by pass the timer and they have the new spot. RMT users who own a house love this system, go check reddit if you don't believe me.

    2) Destruction of any and all non-active house users and change of use policy: I've taken a stroll to expirment during peak hours mind you and I saw 4-5 houses being used. Actual people hanging out there doing things/activities/queuing/chatting. While roughly 80% of the houses in the wards are completely dead. People are complaining about losing the "community feel" if instanced housing becomes a thing and I say BS, I don't see any community outside of my FC neighbors another constantly active group. All other houses are dead. Might as well have nobody around.

    3) Deval timers AND sale timers on placards: This is literally a no brainer. You will stop SOOOO many headaches and people can sleep and have a proper notion of when to be on for those houses to pop. RNG causes imense frustration especially when it wastes people's sub time. WASTING PEOPLE'S SUB TIME ISN'T A FIX. Give people a set time to return and at least they can now feel LESS cheated because they didn't waste 20+ hours of thier lives sitting in one spot praying for RNGesus.

    These are all literally fast and somewhat easy to implement quick fixes that address a vast majority of conplaints I've seen in this forum and in other places. Yes, a larger solution is needed, instanced individual/FC housing is the way to go. Again housing districts are practically dead a majority of the time. The funny part is that 2/3 fixes I posted above literally require a toggle to be flipped, while 1 require less than a few lines of code (adding the housing timer). This is why I feel the dev's just don't care. The simplest of fixes are just not happening with any sort of haste. Even if they have some giant fixed planned please just give us something small to tied us over. Please leave a reapons, ESPECIALLY a Dev member. I'd love to hear actual reasons why these things aren't being adressed or fixed at all, when they are extremely easy to do in the current state of things.

    Simplistic housing placard code (short hand):

    Placard display{
    cout<<house information
    cout<<devaluation(timer function for deval)
    cout<<Sale timer(calls and displays variable for RNG timer already inplemented)
    }

    Of course the hard part would probably be the actual display position/look of the timer but that can be fixed in a few days or less. Especially when you know your own system and have people who can do this in thier sleep. The point is it is EXTREMELY basic functions and out puts. The only part that would be needed tbh is the stylistic choice but that is what copy and paste is for.

    I find it hilarious that you make such a big deal about RMT being an issue with housing in #1 and then hand them the means to quickly obtain multiple plots in #2 and #3.

    I don't understand what you mean? RMT is being used in plot flipping through the use of plot transfer. RMT would not be possible if people saw a timer on the placard. So the person doing said RMT takes a loss if the person they wanted to win didn't get the house. Of if someone paid the RMT guy in advance, they'd be an idiot to do so as 5+ people would be at that plot. RMT would not survive on this kind of implementation. Also all you have to do is provide proof of RMT to get a ban. Reporting works 90% of the time. Screen shots, conversation etc. All proof towarda a ban. People are just stupid and refuse to do it. I remember reporting it once because it was obvious lol they were chatting in game etc. Guy relinquished his plot other guy bought it, I reported it and in less than a few hours the house new guy put up was gone and the plot was available again. This is also why I say that the player has to be actively using said estate in #2. What is the point of a house if the players aren't useing them? The destruction timers need to be flipped back on.

    In reality I find it more hilarious that you think current things are fine. These implementations will help house hunters NOT RMT users as it still doesn't gurantee a house for the RMT guy's, making RMT almost pointless to use. These fixes are to help the mental and physical state of the player base. Players should not waste literal days siting at a keyboard/TV spamming for a possibility for a house at a random time. Cut out the completely random aspect and give players the actual ability to plan out thier time and not waste days just for it to be snatched by a plot flipper.

    Please point to anywhere in my post where I said anything about the current state of housing. I was criticiquing your implementations, nothing more. They won't do what you think they will.

    Houses that "aren't being used" are already "rid of" at a certain point: they're auto-demolished after 45 days if the owner (or anyone in the Free Company, in the event of an FC plot) does not step into the house. Can you elaborate on your second point? As in, what would you change and any criteria you may be applying to a plot considered as "being used", and one considered as "not being used".

    Dude...it is just a house. There's so much more to this game than them. Honestly, I think the main problem here is how big you're making this out to be and how much you're letting this affect you.

    Your "taking a stroll" in housing wards mean nothing saxman. people play at different hours, are in and out of their house and on varying days so there is no way to accurately pinpoint nor is it your business to stalk their playtime. Housing is a cluster F, we all know it, we all know it's low priority on SE's "to do" list. I have a med house that I use when I log in to do hunts, run some Edens, craft, deco or just hang out but I do not spend the hours in game like I once did. Burned out and po'd at the way priorities are set here so now, I play other games also. When I am ready to exodus from this mess, there will be a med plot available in the Beds for you all to fight over lmao.

    I think it's like this because there isn't a truly quick fix they could make. It's a complicated system requiring resources that need to be queued into an already busy dev schedule. And they probably won't quick fix the relocation system away, that's something they took the time to create because they thought it was a good idea.

    The timer lockout for new buyers was also created with good intentions. Not intended for people to make themselves crazy standing at a placard for hours, that's just a weird personal choice thing. If there wasn't a random timer you'd still have little chance to get the plot, competing against all of the other people you're trying to deny by being faster than them. The hidden random timer is just to prevent house flipping; the buying and resale of plots for massive profit on the black market. If it's unknown when a relinquished plot will be available then the seller can't make a guarantee to the buyer.

    It's going to take a while but some of the things they are thinking about adding to the housing system are: (1) increase the number of tenants a plot can have, (2) expand the features available to apartments, (3) add more wards.

    A large part of the supply problem is also uneven distribution of players across worlds, so they offer bonuses to incentivise changing your home world to lower population worlds. Over time they've also been gradually removing barriers between worlds so that transferring doesn't mean losing friends. Cross-world friend list, tells, LSs, PFs and World Visit are all things that were added towards this goal. The only main thing missing that I can think of is FCs not allowing cross-world membership.
