    See previously: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...yboard-Mapping

    When submitting a bug report, please use the below template and thoroughly fill out the necessary information.

    Date & Time: Always
    Frequency: Continuous
    World name: All (Twintania)
    Character name: Reinah Serra
    Steps:
    1. When attempting to type an apostrophe, I discovered my keys were mismatched and instead a @ appears.
    2. Issue does not persist in any other application.
    3. Issue persists with an external keyboard.
    4. This has happened since I first attempted to use the client.
    5. Issue is persistent.
    6. Performing a reinstall did not resolve the issue.

    As there is no option in-game for keyboard mapping, any support would be greatly appreciated.

    Check your mac settings for keyboard layout and languages.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Just as CappyTran stated, please check the keyboard setting son the mac. Do you experience this problem when the external keyboard is used on a different program? Also, does this issue happen when the keyboard of the laptop is used ?

    Thanks for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Hi:
    The keyboard settings on my mac have all been thoroughly checked and are set up appropriately to the language (Norwegian Bokmål.)

    The issue is isolated to Final Fantasy and happens on both the internal and external keyboard, as previously stated.

    If I have FF open, the issue is isolated only to the game.

    Immediately upon switching/tabbing to another application, the issue does not persist any longer.

    Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

    Do you experience this issue if the external keyboard is not plugged into the computer? Additionally are you able to test if this problem happens with a different external keyboard?

    Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Issue occurs when:
    1. No external keyboard is connected, and I am using only the built-in keyboard;
    2. and/or An external USB keyboard is connected;
    3. and/or a wireless bluetooth keyboard is connected.

    The issue does not occur in any other application in any of these scenarios, even if FFXIV is open in a non-active window.

    The issue is isolated to the FFXIV application itself.

    It looks like the issue may be linked to the lack of the option keys being mapped as a keyboard modifier. On the bokmål keyboard for mac, many keys are mapped to the option key as a modifier, which doesn't occur on the PC bokmål keyboard.
