    Item Macros FTW

This is in general discussion because it involves several different sub-topics

I am a gamepad user and I don't really use Macros in battle....
Getting around the action bar isn't that tough...
With Action Queuing I can probably get to each ability as fast (If not faster) than a macro would... and I don't have to worry about adding the right "/wait" or the infamous Macro line skip
I use Job and equipment change macros for all my crafting and battle classes, but never really used Macros in battle....

    Until now....

1.21 has given my Macro bar new purpose....

    Items....

Have you guys seen all the new potions? They're pretty sweet....

Mega-Potions give up to 600 HP.. Mega-Ethers give up to 600 MP
    need I say more?
Vitality Potions... Strength Potions, Intelligence Potions
    Why would you not?

And since I have to press the "Micro-Menu" button, go over to the little backpack, press ok.. scroll to the right item... press ok.... Use the subtarget to find yourself (Which is easier said than done sometimes) and then press OK... using items can be cumbersome if not for Macros

Many of you probably already know this... so don't flame me with "Old news Noob"
I know using item macros is old... but there was never really a big reason to use a bunch of items like that so it went unnoticed...

    It's really easy too....

    /item "Mega-potion of Strength" <me>

    Super simple...
By the way... Attribute potions are found in Chirugeons>Panacea

    But there's more....

A disabling potion will cast paralyze and poison on a MOB for 10 seconds (Not as effective on NMs)
There are a ton of potions that cause status effects (Poison, sleep, silence) and are easy to use with Macros

    /item "Disabling Potion" <t>
if you are already targeting the MOB in question and
    /item "Disabling Potion <st>
if you would like to use the subtarget to select the MOB

Can't wait until 2.0 where items and macros can be set to the Action Bar. That'll be even sweeter
