if the totem/nut,etc are 100% then yes thats an idea also, just take out the luck drops completely sound good to me then wouldn't have to deal with this crap!
Agreed, I wouldn't even care if it were 20 tokens for an Ifrit weapon so long as I know that in * amount of kills I can get the weapon I want.

i just really hope in 1.22a SE puts the trade in system to effect along with that the 100% drop on nuts/totems and get rid of the lucky drops completely!
How about they just make the weapons drop to players loot lists. 3 patches later and they still have decided not to do it. I am pretty damn sure someone I was playing with would have liked that garudas van that dropped to the ground earlier.
thats is an idea we have been saying, bottom line the trade in system is what we need at the very least in 1.22a. have it active untill 1.22b by that time players will have the chance to get rid of their unwanted weapons once and for all.
reason for the trade in system is because players that have unwanted weapons don't wanna just discard them and get nothing or keep them in their inventory for the shits and giggles, but making them level up a class just to convert it to materia so they can get something out of it, really isn't right espeically when they have no desire for the class/job this is why we need the trade in system(for atleast a certain time period). then SE needs to either make the totem/nuts for ifrit and mog 100% drop like garuda and get rid of the luck drop system completely thus making everyone have to progress through many fights to get the weapon of their choice from rowena(NPC) or keep the luck drop system and allow ppl to pass unwanted weapons through the loot! if SE decides to keep the luck drop system that should be after 1.22b, so from the time between 1.22a and 1.22b we have trade in system after that we go back to luck drops but you can pass to someone who needs it and still have the 100% drop of totems/nuts like garuda does for progress to the weapon of your choice.
why i dont bother anymore.
It would allow people to have 7/7 within a week, UNLESS they reduced the drop rate, tell me how is that a good thing ?
You for sure don't want ppl to get 7/7 within a weeks time bottom line. SE needs to make the drops of totems/nuts 100% and u only get ONE nut/totem for each win and they are NOT passable loot! thats over 70 fights with the requrired 10 nuts/totems for rowena, it could be less for someone if SE leaves a random/slight chance of one weapon drop in a fight but not every fight (like some ppl want) otherwise it would be to easy to get 7/7. if the one random weapon does drop in a fight, it should be passable and ppl can /random for it. but we do need the temporary abliltiy to get some reward for unwanted weapons we currently have now so the trade in system can be for a short time from 1.22a to 1.22b after that the 100% drop with maybe a random chance of any weapon dropping which can be passed is the way to go from now on with primal fights.
.....lol these guys.... i hope they reduce the drop rate even more it gives people somthing to do till next patch and keeps content relevant sad thing is compared to FF11's drop rate FF14 is easy mode im 300+ kills on ifrit 5/7 100+ kills on moogle 5/7 you guys should go play a different game and the reason they dont let it drop to players loot list is because all this concept does is help players get weapons faster.... but thats all you guys are concerned with getting weapons as fast as you can then complain there's nothing to do good luck with that
im gonna wrap up this thread with one last post! AND hopefully someone can close this topic out because the many months this has been out SE most likely got the hint of how primals needs to be changed. Thier are over 39500 views and almost 600 post i think they get the picture and pretty much everything said is a repeat from before!
1) patch 1.22a SE makes all primal totems, nuts, headress, etc 100% drop for each win which are not passable and the amount rewarded are done accorddingly by SE standards, and X number(which should be around 15) nuts/totems/headdress are required for rowena trade.
2) only ONE random weapon drops at a little/low rate after each win and its passble loot which players can pass or /random for it! If you cant pass it, were gonna be in the same situation we are now ppl get shit they absolutly dont need/want.
3) Patch 1.22a to 1.22b the trade in system is implenmented for everyone who got screwed over with unwanted weapons! the amount of nuts/totems/headdress u get for trading unwanted weapon is half of the required amount to get one from rowena in the first place.
4) SE finally makes achivement for players who have 7/7 weapons.
5) Patch 1.22b the trade in system in done away forever, and with all primals from here on out are 100% drops for each win, and you need a decent amount of required primal items (nuts/totems,headdresses,etc) to get desired weapons from rowena and for each win SE rewards you accorddingly to what they see is fair. one or two totems/nuts/headdress,etc for each win is fair but depends on the requried amount by rowena(NPC).
This is win-win for SE and players. SE benefits due to having content that keeps players occuppied and at the same time players have to put effort in getting their gear and SE also finally helps out the many players who have done XXX amount of fights and got no desireable reward which the temporary trade in system will take care of. since players shouldn't be forced to level classes they dont feel like doing just to get materia or them being forced to discard otherwise. SE again benefits from this later down the road for having a system already set up for future primals which is fair for palyers and SE alike. Players have to put in effort & time, SE has a system for progress and luck! Cant complain anymore with this.
