Hrm... Actually, this is interesting. If that IS the case, and in that case it's something deeply ingrained in the current game structure, do you think they'd be willing to change that (each one gets their own chest but it's possible to throw it into the loot list) in 2.0 or do they believe that is a good design choice?
that cannot be the case. if the totems can go to your loot list out of the same chest there is no way that they could not put the weapon in there as well. it's there for no other reason than the fact they coded it to do that. it will not be the fact that it cannot be, and it has to be that's how they WANT it to be.Hrm... The weapons are U/U however, there could very well be some bizarre mechanic related to that. Have you ever seen any Untradeable go in your loot list? I know I haven't but I don't play that much, I was almost going to mention the easter eggs but I know they're just Unique, not Untradeable.that cannot be the case. if the totems can go to your loot list out of the same chest there is no way that they could not put the weapon in there as well. it's there for no other reason than the fact they coded it to do that. it will not be the fact that it cannot be, and it has to be that's how they WANT it to be.
the totems themselves are untradeable. yes, they are not unique, but are untradeable. now if you want to use the fact they are unique that stops them from going to your list then you must also realize that most of the new dungeon drops are unique. if you want to go by the darklight gear that is unique/untradeable it does go into your loot list. another example is all the drops from the other dungeons(like darkhold) are u/u, but they do go to your loot. The weapons are U/U however, there could very well be some bizarre mechanic related to that. edit: as someone else pointed out the mini nm's are also all u/u, but go to your loot list.
that leads me to believe that it was intentionally coded in that way since there are other drops that are each type and those are examples of them going into a loot list.

It doesn't even matter if this was the case because you could get around this by giving you a token that say this is good for 1 ifrits harpoon ect. You could pass this around and then some one would trade it for the weapon later instead of getting it right then and there. The weapons are U/U however, there could very well be some bizarre mechanic related to that. Nope! You can pass Darkhold U/U weapons to others, for instance. The weapons are U/U however, there could very well be some bizarre mechanic related to that. So simple solution, everyone needs tapers/keystones to get into fight. Then they can code so the loot is passable without worrying about who 'qualifies' for items. They were able to add nuts/totems as drops, they could add this if they wanted to. (And I'd accept 'We can only do this in 2.0') The bigger gripe I have is if SE keeps the system we have now for EVERY primal, it's gonna get super annoying pretty quick. Right now, we're talking about 2 different primals (soon to be 3)...one day it could be up to 12 primals with this horrible drop system...
Dear lord I hope they do something different. Was already unimpressed about the chest spawn mechanices of Darkhold being used for Cutters/Vale.So simple solution, everyone needs tapers/keystones to get into fight.
