This is dumb because people will get burnt out and quit anyway. With the current drop system they'll leave with a bad impression of the game and are less likely to reactivate at the next patch.People need to stop complaining, the drops are fine as is. The game is dead enough even with the merger, if they up the drop rates then what little content we have would die out, and at least half of the population will cancel their accounts til the next major patch, due to lack of stuff to do. By keeping drop rates low, we're forced to grind for several months, giving them time to work on the next update, and still keep our subscriptions. Yes low drop rates may cause a handful of people to emo rage quit, but that's a small fraction compared to what they'd lose if their content didn't last for months. Remember, Square Enix is a business first and your friend second, they want our money, and low drop rates for longer lasting content is how they accomplish that.

Exactly people aren't running Ifrit anymore after they get the weapon they want. They are burnt out and very likely to quit. You need to give people a sense of accomplishment for doing things and getting players who already have the weapons incentive to keep on coming to help newer players. There have been many great suggestions in this thread how to achieve this.
I am sure that there are people who got the weapon they want an refuse to run Ifrit again but if you said look if you do it another 20 times you will get the remaining weapons you don't have and if a duplicate drops you can turn it in for 250 gc seals Ifrit runs would start going through the roof.
