I've only beating Moogle about 5 times, and Ifrit about 15 times... but I can see just how frustrating this can be... I'm not looking forward to these abysmal drop rates... and what have I gotten out of it? 1 ifrit totem... /joy

I don't get why they can't make it that weapons drop to loot list, and anyone in the party who doesn't already have the weapon but DID enter with key items could be traded the item. I would much rather pass the axe to someone who needs it than have it clog my inventory. The totems, charms are just inventory cloggers and an un-needed step. Let us PASS weapons to who needs/wants. Let us decide how our group handles things....
GET RID OF THE TODEM SYSTEM!

Because that would be too easy, everyone would be 7/7 in 2 weeks.I don't get why they can't make it that weapons drop to loot list, and anyone in the party who doesn't already have the weapon but DID enter with key items could be traded the item. If SE allowed this they would make the drop rates even lower anyway which kind of defeats the purpose.
That's the beauty of a token system you can get 1 token every time and still walk away with something.

You mean like everyone is 7/7 on Dungeon gears? There is still only a chance for items to drop. I mean I've done several evenings of Ifrit/Moogle runs where no one got anything... not a weapon or even a charm. Keep weapon drop rate low, just let us pass them when they do drop.

Primals only drop 7 items though, Dungeons have multiple items, its completely difference. You mean like everyone is 7/7 on Dungeon gears? There is still only a chance for items to drop. Yea lets throw ourselves at content for hours, days and weeks and get nowhere fast... no thanks.

So how many fights then should one have to do to get the ONE weapon they want? Not 7/7 just one.
Just so you know in ALL the Primal fights I've done so far this is roughly my rewards:
1 Ifrit's Bow (Archer was rank 26 at the time)
3 Kupo Nut Charms (Technically I had 4 but i passed one to a friend who needed it to be 7/7 on moogle)
6.5 Stacks of DM
Now, the friends I helped do the fights 3 of them are 7/7 on both primals. I have One weapon...never got a duplicate.
There are 2 sides to this crappy drop rate. (One person in my ls got the weapon he wanted on first win) But, since I can't solo Ifrit or Moogle, the reward shouldn't be a 'solo' reward. The group should decide who gets it, not the game. This is why I think the todem system needs to go. We're adults, we can handle sorting out who deserves what.
I don't mind having to work at a battle or fight to learn it. I don't even mind having to do it over and over to get drops/get people what they need and want. But pushing over 100+ battles against one Primal and still having players on your team who have nothing to show for it is absurd.

This is probably the most agreed-upon statement in forum history... I'm just wondering, as much as people have asked for it, has there ever been a dev response about it?
*Edit:* Not trying to hate on the devs, I just really don't know. >.>

People need to stop complaining, the drops are fine as is. The game is dead enough even with the merger, if they up the drop rates then what little content we have would die out, and at least half of the population will cancel their accounts til the next major patch, due to lack of stuff to do. By keeping drop rates low, we're forced to grind for several months, giving them time to work on the next update, and still keep our subscriptions. Yes low drop rates may cause a handful of people to emo rage quit, but that's a small fraction compared to what they'd lose if their content didn't last for months. Remember, Square Enix is a business first and your friend second, they want our money, and low drop rates for longer lasting content is how they accomplish that.

This is dumb because people will get burnt out and quit anyway. With the current drop system they'll leave with a bad impression of the game and are less likely to reactivate at the next patch.People need to stop complaining, the drops are fine as is.
