I think less will be changed than most people hope/fear.
I hope we get Vieras, so I can reroll as a snow bunny, but even if we don't, I'm still going to make a new character and try everything from the start again. I don't want to be part of those who will whine after 2 weeks that they have no content left![]()
I will miss
nothing
Bring Quality Notorious Monsters to FFXIV!

i'll miss alot of the original game. i know i am in the minority, but i will miss the original battle system and the original recipes. i'll miss the open world events since they want to go completely instanced.

this lol, no more excuses. sink or swim
but really i will miss what i already miss and know i missed out on. no mater how different the game becomes, how tweaked and fixed it is they can't really bring back the new mmo feeling to ffxiv and it's like the most important part i think in any mmo. doing everything at the correct levels it was intended, the challenges it brings in trying to do your af gear at the correct levels (right as you need it with a group of 8 that need it too) no matter what this will still feel like a 2year old mmo most likely no matter how much i will love it or not. i could be wrong but i doubt it and i for sure not willing to reroll at this point so lets hope they turn rank 1-50 into what 1-20 was in ffxi lol.
also parts i miss really are from tanaka's version not this one aka 15man crab grinds and no pl'ing. dkp for nm's that were reasonably challenging and took linkshell events to grind them (and the outlook of what was to come in the future since they were there but now ruined so lets still hope same direction? doubt it><) also what dark mentioned the recipies didn't need to be dumbed down, just need to add all the info into the game and not make people go offgame to other sites to get info's, make it simple and complicated all at once. probably tons more i will miss, in general for all mmo's i will miss the non casual outlook that they have for mmo's now. but oh well.

Delays with the current Servers.. (limitations so delays will more than likely to happen with this)
2.0 is on a different server/client ( with little to no limitations) so I believe if there is a delay it will be small.. but I don't think it will happen
Edit: they are also 1 month ahead of schedule with 2.0 just a heads up
more time to try out tera, gw2 and diablo 3 lol. but yeah most likely will be pushed a little bit back. i pray it comes out with a full expansions worth of content. we can dream i guess lol.
i will miss Dalamud =( it looks so cool
Yoshi-P's Post 3/14/12
Sounds like to me they are have 0 problems with 2.0, since they are 1 month ahead of ScheduleSo the 2.0 client is finished to a level where is reality.
For that swapping the maps for dungeons, transferring the contents and renewal, releasing lots of quest, how much to include using mass production. We're currently in that phase.. April 2012 is when the client was suppose to be finished and ready to port.. its done in March.. :P
