Because, 39 skills for a miner fills all three bar I use and need a 4th somewhere else to get them all. Did not counted the additionals.
Time for a bit of cleanup?

Not really, you can remove the ones you don't use or are outdated.
Actually, I do think it could use a little cleanup.
Lay of the Land, Lay of the Land II, Stealth, Deep Vigor, Truth of Mountains, Luck of the Pioneer, and Unearth III should all just be turned into traits and always be active (Unearth III replacing Unearth II; does this happen already?). Stealth should just make enemies not aggro passively without having to turn it on.
Ward of the Twelve should just be an action that replaces all of the Wards. Not subbed at the moment so I can't check if that was already done, but I don't think it was.
Collectable actions should all replace normal actions whenever Collector's Glove is on. This can be achieved through a macro, but that shouldn't be necessary.
This should effectively remove about 20 actions without actually changing the gameplay.

One tells you the nearest node. One tells you the nearest highest level node. Those sound a bit obnoxious to always have on. I only used them when I was getting used to new nodes, or went back for something I forgot where it was exactly.
I do agree that Unearth 3 should replace 2. It's the same GP cost and it just improves the effect from just a flat 30% to a 30%+ and that could easily be changed into a trait skill upgrade. Right now you could literally have both on your hotbar at once, as well as the Truth skills being trains that are always on.
I don't think they'd ever change stealth. It's part of how things take just a little bit longer, which is an MMO nature.
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
I like the idea but atm collectable use and normal use have very few common items. Separating them was for that distinction. Collectable is a bit weird when we refused that confirm dialog always gives NQ.
If they implement this, I want it to behave normal way when we refused to make collectable then it should give maybe higher chance to get HQ.
Lay of the land 1 and 2 are things I don't want cluttering my mini map 24/7 so big pass on that, likewise with truth of mountains. Unearth III could replace II but you shouldn't have II in your hotbar to begin with, so it doesn't reduce clutter. I think they said they would rework stealth to work that way while mounted, wouldn't be surprised if it just becomes a trait.Actually, I do think it could use a little cleanup.

Let's not forget Preparation. Not only is it an extra button to push but it can't be activated until you're actually at a node, so you can't just put it into your class change macro.
