I'm talking raw potency, Astral fire has nothing to do with this as well. Afflatus Misery is insta as well. But the point i'm trying to make is why a healer has a higher magic potency spell than an actual DPS caster. I'm not counting buffs, etc. Base raw potency.

Keep in mind that Affatus Misery requires 4 GCDs (3 of which do no damage) to setup and use. That's an average of 225 potency per GCD, which is weaker than WHM's baseline nuke of 300 potency per GCD - making Afflatus Misery a DPS loss in non-AOE situations. Even in AOE situations, 225 potency with falloff is only a little better than 140 potency without falloff.
